On what should have been a fun-filled day at the races, Nick O'Bannon has a horrific premonition in which a bizarre sequence of events causes multiple race cars to crash, sending flaming debris into the stands, brutally killing his friends and causing the upper deck of the stands to collapse on him. When he comes out of this grisly nightmare Nick panics, persuading his girlfriend, Lori, and their friends, Janet and Hunt, to leave...escaping seconds before Nick's frightening vision becomes a terrible reality.
Thinking they've cheated death, the group has a new lease on life, but unfortunately for Nick and Lori, it is only the beginning. As his premonitions continue and the crash survivors begin to die one-by-one--in increasingly gruesome ways--Nick must figure out how to cheat death once and for all before he, too, reaches his final destination. The film marks the latest in the highly popular "Final Destination" series, and its first 3D installment, giving horror fans an especially visceral thrill ride.

- The release date was originally set for August 21st, the moved to August 14th, then back to August 28th '09.
- Originally titled Final Destination 4 and Final Destination: Death Trip 3D.
- Filmed in New Orleans.
- Will be filmed in 3-D.
- Budgeted at $43 million.
- Written by Eric Bress.
- No connection to the previous films.
- This would be David R. Ellis' return to the series, after directing the second film.

Iwas very exciting to see this but after watching some of the clips images nd tv spots im having doubts, was up with the scene in the movie theaters? lmao um STUPID but ok im going to watch it b4 i make judgements. I do wonder whos going to make more money

I agree. I bought that My Bloody Valentine on dvd with 3-D, I think I enjoyed it more without.
this is a great series, and i can't wait to see some decapitations in 3d, this should be pleasing.

Whats with the name The Final Destination.
why couldnt they just stayed with Final Destination 4.
im guessing this going to be the last one thats why they named it The FINAL Destination. but i still want to see it
3d pulls me in and i like the series...interested to see if there's any twist
