- Brit Marling was originally cast as the lead before dropping out for unknown reasons and was replaced by Agnes Bruckner (Venom, Blood and Chocolate, Vacancy 2: The First Cut).
- Amanda Crew (The Haunting in Connecticut), Adrianne Palicki (Legion) and Cory Monteith (Final Destination 3) were all originally announced to star in the film.
- Described as a teen thriller in the vein of films like Prom Night and Wild Things.
