PROJECT DETAILS
- Making its world premiere at this year's South by Southwest Film Festival.
- Lionsgate will team with MGM to distribute the film theatrically.
- Although the premise is still kept underwraps, it's revealed that there will be "a lot of scary monsters".
- It's said that due to positive response towards the project so far that MGM has decided to push the release date back a year in order to convert the film into 3D.
- MGM will distribute.
- Joss and Drew have purposely kept the premise and any kind of solid info on the project under wraps.
- This marks writer Drew Goddard's directorial debut.
- Originally had an October '09, a February 5, 2010, and a January 14th 2011 theatrical release.
- Co-written by Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) and Joss Whedon (Serenity, Buffy series).

Also, "Creatures" now seems to be a miss categorization, at least to me.
I'm actually anticipaing this one. The cover sort of reminds me of Cabin Fever. But the new one is sick. sort of reminds me of a Rubik's cube
I don't know what to think about this one as it does give off some sort of Evil Dead vibe for me, but I will give it a chance and check it out, hopefully won't be disappointed.
Release date is October 28, if you weren't aware.

But I really do not believe that it will be released January 14th. The Cabin in the Woods web page still does not have a date added...
I doubt this is gonna be released January 14 as of seeing that MGM just recently got out of
bankruptcy
You know what's weird? This title is by far one of the cheesest b-movie type deal. But its soo ironic on how so many people want to see a movie called Cabin in the Woods. Hilarious. But i want to see it too! haha.

I've been hyped for this awhile now and i cant fucking wait to see how the creatures look. damn this movie better be good i gotta feeling it will. this comes out close to my birthday so i will be seein it, hells yeah
If youre Being chased, Split up! While being chased light up a spliff it may be your last! If you hear strange noises, go take a shower. If you have a car give the keys to someone else and send them outside alone. Hmm do drugs have sex lose the car keys what else is there. Im looking forward to this one. lol At least it should be funny!

The monsters will apparently be 3D so they will not be legit...

I agree with you they never listen to the fans of the genre. All they care about are the numbers and the all mighty $. I hope this movie will be presented in both formats. I'm very intrigued by this movie though and I'm waiting for some sort of teaser to give me an idea of what to expect. Though something fresh and new would be very welcome in my opinion.
