RLJE Films distributes in the US.

Producer Barbara Crampton had a recent interview where she talks a bit about the movie and offers an update on it, saying: "First of all, it's not a remake, it's a reimagining. I only say that because I just want people to know the story is completely different. We have a completely different premise for the story. The characters are all different. There are a few similarities. There is a freak. There is a castle. There is a character named Rebecca and there's a character named John, but who they are and their relationship is completely different, and we have a whole new cast of characters." As far as the status of the movie, she adds: "They're hoping to be done [with post-production] by the end of the year. So that's what we're looking for. That we have a completed film by the end of December, maybe early January. Of course, we do what everybody's doing now with this independent world. We're gonna send it out to film festivals. We do have a distributor with the film already, so we'll see what they want to put it out and go from there. I assume definitely by the middle of next year, it'll be out on the film festival circuit. I don't know what it will be released. We don't have a date yet. But look for it early 2020." (9/25/19)

Filmed in Albania.

This marks the directorial debut of award-winning SFX makeup artist Tate Steinsiek, who recently worked on Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich and Satanic Panic.

It's said that the story "will have elements of the first, but with many new characters and an expanded Lovecraft universe."

The same studio also produces the Puppet Master remake.

This is a remake of the classic 1995 Full Moon film from director Stuart Gordon that starred Jeffrey Combs and Barbara Crampton (who is also producing this remake).
