ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 picks up three months after we last left ChromeSkull (Principe) at the end of the original Laid to Rest. Tommy (Dekker), who’s struggling to come to terms with his encounter with the masked killer, has now gone missing courtesy of the maniacal Preston (Green), a mysterious player in the sequel with a sinister connection to ChromeSkull.
Meanwhile, our killer has set his sights on a new girl, Jess (Michaels), and after the young girl disappears, Detective King (Yeoman) must race against the clock to find her and Tommy before it’s too late and try to put an end to ChromeSkull’s deadly legacy.

PROJECT DETAILS
- Image Entertainment will distribute the film in the US.
- Began filming on November 2010 in LA.
- Actor Michael Biehn has stepped away from the project, as he is persuing a directing gig and has been replaced by Owain Yeoman.
- Director Robert Hall had this to say about the sequel: "You can't really make a Laid to Rest movie and not have the best gore effects. We're doubling the carnage and doubling the fun. I know we raised the bar on the last one, but people have no idea what's in store in that department for the sequel - it's the original and THEN SOME. I'm so happy to have such a stellar cast involved, and I think Kevin and I have come up with a cool way to bring Chromey back without going all nutty and breaking our own rules."
- Previous writer/director Robert Hall also returns.
- Thomas Dekker and ChromeSkull killer Nick Principe return.
- The obvious sequel to 2009's gory straight-to-DVD slasher Laid to Rest.

the first laid to rest was phenomanol. it was EVERYTHING a horror movie should be. the lead female was hot, smart and heroic. the side cahracters had theyre own little perks about them that I enjoyed, and the kills.....the kills are just brutal. BRUTAL. after watching laid to rest, i shuddered and thinking about how a body could be lacerated in such fashions. but anyways, the story line was very off the tracks from other slasher films, which had u guessing and wondering what the hell was going on. the killer, chromeskull is extremeley unique when it comes to modern day slashers. a mask he feels compelled to keep on, an obsession with recording his kills, and you can never figure out what he's really after. and there was a very interesting fear expressed in the first laid to rest. how technology can get the best of us. you'll have to watch it to see what I'm talking about. so now,I just watched chromeskull: laid to rest 2. Wow. It was a great addition to the series. A bloody, face paced, suspenseful, on your toes sequel that keeps you guessing and guessing. by the end of the film you'll be begging for the third to be out! chromeskull is back in this one, and is brutal as ever. the kills are still high up there as far as blood and gore wise, and just like I said was in the first film, some strange ways to mutilate someone. I'm not gonna give anything away except it still involves the element of the first film which is a girl and a coffin, but it is not just a copy of the first. a well done, horror flick with tastes of thriller, in the vein of a saw flick. alot of secrets are revieled, as well as some you still are begging to know. excellent, excellent series and I rele hope it turns into a smart well thought out franchise, just like the first 2 flicks! THE THIRD MOVIE IS ON THE WAY!!!! (it says on the internet and has been confirmed)
The first five minutes look awesome. The special effects look amazing. I have seen countless videos of real life murders and mutilations, and the surgery scene got the gore of the face spot on. It also looks as if they are going to progress the story along by adding new characters, unlike some other horror films which are just the same thing, over and over and over.
Wow the first 5 minutes are awesome, I can't fucking wait for this!
Will this be a franchise? What a great concept for a serial slasher, the mask, the camera mount and the endless body count. My wife and I were very entertained by the kill effects from the first one, we concieved/aborted and consumed a child before the film was over. I pray we have a repeat for the sequel! O.K. it wasn't that great but we liked it.
We need a new horror franchise but I don't think this would be able to do that.

Without spoiling it can you tell me a little about Danielle Harris' character and from 1 to 10 were would you put it?
Actually I'd have that Danielle Harris did a good job in this one, after the atrocious acting in Hatchet II I was a little skeptical... She played an accomplice to the Chromeskull characters, i won't say anymore because it would ruin in.. The movie itself was fairly good, at first I wasn't so sure but as the story moved on I enjoyed it(although not as much as the first.) The acting was definitely a step up from the original.. It also picked up right where "Laid To Rest" left off.. Worth a look.
The first Laid To Rest movie was horrible in my opinion and this movie looks low budget as well. The acting also doesn't look that great. Oh well, can't judge a book by its cover I suppose.

The teaser looks good so far I can't wait for a full trailer and some clips, but Chrome Skull looked pissed off so this should be good.

All good points but you have to admitt throwing knives takes skill and The Collector's traps were pretty cool. But yeah ChromeSkull probably could take The Collector, I think it would be a fun fight to see

Ok yes I agree ChromeSkull would win. Mabye in the sequal The Collector will be explained a little more making him more known, or they could give him a weapon to be known for like Jason and his machete or Krueger and his glove. What weapon do you think they should give The Collector that would make him better in your eyes?

I finally watched the first one last night and overall I enjoyed it. I didn't like the film style at first but I got over it. Acting was actually OK EXCEPT for The Girl. Her acting was atrotious. I understand the hit to the head and everything but she cannot act or display the proper facial expressions when needed. Lena Heady was a suprise to see in this. Even though her part was small, it was good to see her. I'm glad I read the comments and finally decided to give the first one a chance. Now I'm ready for the sequel.(and Danielle Harris

By the way, if I'm a sociopathic serial killer I would probably refrain from getting vanity plates with my alter ego's name on it, well, except for maybe BEATNGU. Thank god it wasn't his cell pass too!

I liked Laid to rest, it was fun and enjoying so this shit should be dope damn Danielle is always being casted in these new horror movies, Halloween, Hatchet 2, and now this shit. Can't wait tho but how the fuck is chrome skull suppose to be alive after what happened?

i hope this is good, i loved the first film. good story, hot chick and plenty of gore made me a happy camper!!! let's hope this doesn't disappoint and explains a little more on the back story.

The casting looks like a Terminator reunion. Should be interesting. I really liked Laid to Rest. Hope this one is as good.
When I saw the trailer to the first one I wanted to see it but I never found the time. So when I tried to find it I couldn't remeber the name and ended up giving up but now thanks to you I have found it and plan on checking it out. So thank you FrighT MasteR 0:)
