THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING! It was scary and Katie Holmes shouldn't be judged without seeing her performance because she was the main reason that i absolutely love this movie! I recommend it to everyone and hope all of you enjoy it as much as I did.
i cant wait for this!!!! its going to be so badass
Saw the trailer for it in theaters and nearly pissed myself.
Guess those that dont want Katie in a movie would rather Tom in undies... thats odd. And. How could anyone forget her in Batman!
I don't have a problem with her in the movie. It's mostly because of the shock value of the trailer, and my trust in Del Toro. In terms of her role in Batman, wasn't she replaced? I don't know if that role supports her value and credibility in this movie.
Finally saw the made-for-TV original. This one looks like an improvement.
How can one be excited about a film with KatIe Holme anywhere near it?
I have such a good feeling about this film. Can't wait to see it!
Not a fan of Katie Holmes but Del Toro is fantastic and I have much respect for Guy Pearce
The guy is such an underrated actor.
Del Toro is brilliant. The narration in the trailer is gripping. The fact that MPAA gave this film an R rating on the premise of "terror" is exciting.. All this makes this movie very high on my "most anticipated" list....
Looks like it might be great!!! I love Guillermo Del Toro and if he had a hand in the movie, I know its going to be good!!!! I want more movies by him!!!!
Holy shit the creature under the sheet made me jump haha
I have high hopes for this CREATURE-FEATURE, especially because it is produced by Guillermo del Toro (I enjoyed a lot "Splice" (2009), DRAMA/SCI-FI/THRILLER movie having Guillermo as executive producer.

Does someone on this forum know the approximate release date for this movie in USA??
I have to admit that the very first time I saw this trailer was at The Last Exorcism showing. This trailer made me laugh at first, because it was totally black and a voice was whispering at me. I'll be sure to see it, though!
I love the trailer! It's my type of horror movie (great atmosphere, beautifully shot, cool design for the creatures and, not least, a creepy story). The image with the Victorian mansion shrouded in mist and Guillermo del Toro's eye for detail reminds me of the atmosphere from "The Wolfman" (2010).

I haven't seen the original "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark" from 1973. Does anybody know if the creatures look alike or are they different?
Probably one of the only remakes I'll end up saying "god damn that was good." Can't wait.
Well I'm not afraid about seeing this movie. Good actors, producer, and the plot seems like they can build on it. Oh, and the MPAA RATING R "violence and terror" sounds good. Hope they deliver.
This is actually good news for once regarding remakes. I LOVE the original, but when it boils down to it, it's a forty year-old TV film with laughable effects and awful fade outs. Del Toro's name being attached doesn't hurt, either.
