Sam Worthington is an interesting choice.
The screenwriter for The Crazies is working on this I think. Well I do like Sam Worthington but I'm not sure I see him in this movie.
NO NO NO im a big fan of the real vlad tepes and they need to stop ruining his story
A movie about Vlad the Impaler would be great to see, but that YEAR ZERO gives me the feeling that they will make it something like BATMAN BEGINS which would be crap. As a flawed hero, I'm still not sure on that but the tragic love story was done extremely well and beautifully in BRAM STROKER'S DRACULA in the early 90's. Gary Oldman was simply awesome and reminded me a lot of Bela Lugosi.
I want to be excited but that Year Zero is just not working for me, plus making Drac a flawed hero really doesn't go with Vlad the Impaler. And the countless vamp movies that came out just tired me out. But I will try to keep an open mind on this.
It's about time someone decided to redo the tale of Vald the Impailer. Sam Worthington is an interesting choice for Vlad. I think he did well in Terminator Salvation, even w/ Christian Bale's gruffy voice bringing him down. I will definitley be keeping an eye on this one. *** insert whitty vampire retort here *** Hopefully it'll be something I can sink my teeth into!! Too much?
