Dude Evil Dead Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness was the fucking shit
The original 1983 Evil Dead movie has a scene where the Shelley character gets molested by some tree branches. Then she goes crazy and stabs another character in the ankle with a pencil. Then everyone except Bruce Campbell gets killed in grisly ways. the over all effect was pretty creepy. The two sequels to the first film however are really just comedies, not horror movies at all. Sam Raimi, like George Lucas, seems to have a problem with his first film, and is obsessed with tinkering with it, fixing it changing it and pretty much destroying it. It's sad to see creative people become self obsessed dingbats, but these things happen. Hey Sam, you gave us Xena: the Warrior Princess (Roseanne Barr's favorite show) completely ruined Spiderman (no matter what Roger Ebert says), and now you want to ruin the Evil Dead. It's over Sam. Walk away. Give up.
Dude!!! I hope that Bruce can reprise his role as Ash and i totally understand Raimi if he don`t want to make the film without him. As we all know Bruce Campbell is the very soul of the films, without the exception of a couple of deadites and mini Ashe`s, but im afraid that Bruce has gotten time on his bad side, not saying that he looks too old, but he is surely not in the same kickass shape as he was in the earlier films. Well i haven`t seen "Burnout" yet, wich can prove my point wrong (i now hear Bruce is in good shape), but nonetheless
( Bruce still dealt some kicks in "Bubba Ho Tep" and "My Name Is Bruce". As for Evil Dead IV, I will watch it and savour every moment of the film, because the first film "Evil Dead" was something else when it came out, it gave people a new "fear" if you will, cabin trips with friends will never be the same again. It has passed the test of time and it`s still a great film after all these years and it will continue to be so forever. So hopefully the 4th installation can continue this fantastic franchise and help keeping these films a legacy for horror fans.

Well i do like to know what are the coming soon hollywood horror movies in 2011 and where I can see Georgia.
i really really really hope that sam ivan and the man himself bruce campbell do this movie it would be awesome with todays tech and graphics
I watched all three movies so many times I lost count but if they make an Evil Dead 4/Army of Darkness 2 I will be first in line to see it I just hope Sam goes more the horror route in Evil Dead 1 or the horror/comedy route in Evil Dead 2 instead of the action comedy of Army of Darkness
I LOVE BRUCE!
Also, I'm hoping they decide to keep their budget to a minimum so everyone's happy.
If you follow where Evil Dead 1 left off and how Evil Dead 2 intro unfolds, it is a continuation. This may sound a bit corny at first but in Evil Dead 2's intro up until he wakes up in front of the cabin, Ash is dreaming this. This is why everything happens so quickly at the start and when Ash is attacked by 'the thing in the woods' and is flipped and spun around before landing into a tree, he then wakes up only to be in front of the cabin still. This is where he was still standing at the end of the first movie.
No CGI please!!!
Hope they remake it to show how good they can make it look with new tech, not to just elaborate on the drama of the poeple more .Like it seems to be with horror remakes today.
gimme some sugar baby..
Correct me if im wrong... but wasn't Evil Dead II basically the remake to Evil Dead? both had bruce in it, both had the tape played to raise the dead, only difference was we seen what happened to Ash at the end of the second one lol.
At least thats how i seen it, Evil Dead II was just how i'd assumed Sam Raimi wanted the first one to actually be. Mind you been quite a few years since I've watched the trilogy so i could be totally wrong
actually evil dead 2 tells the next chapter in evil dead 1 all they did was change the beginning in evil dead 2 because yea in the 1st one it was Bruce and his g/f n his sister and friend but in the 2nd it was just him n his g/f notice how she was killed quick and return to the part when he was leaving just like the 1st one n he turned around n was pushed back by somethin so evil dead 2 was a sequel not a remake but they do wanna remake the 1st one n do a sequel as u can tell
The evil dead two is exactly what the name implies, the second evil dead movie, or a sequal. Theyjust screwed up the continuity in the recap portion of the beginning of the movie. It was definitely a sequal though. The fact that the racap ends like ten minutes into the movie and picks up where the first one ended is a pretty good indicator of that.
Yes the first couple are AWESOME!!!!!!! Lets see if they still got it??????? Other then a 4th maybe a remak but it would need to be like a remake but another sequal with Bruce Campbell in eather at the same old scary haunted cabin to save the couple of young teens staying there who find the Book and old tape.
---Maybe the City is attacked by many starange Monsters and its up to Bruce to do his job and hunt all the Demons and Monsters and get back the Book.
---Maybe they build a small little town on the spot of the old cabin and it later the small town is attacked by many old Demons and Monsters from the first two original attacks. Its up to Bruce to return to the old haunted cabin spot to hunt down and kill all the Demons and Monsters to try and save whats left of the small towns people.
No offense, but I think this is the only thing Sam Raimi can do right as a director. I mean, Drag Me to Hell was a joke (weather it was intended that way or not, it was just awful) and Spider-Man wasn't all that great either - not a single one.
Shop smart, Shop S-Mart, YA GOT THAT!!!!!!!!
Don't give Michael Bay or Rob Zombie any ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AMEN.
This movie isn't going to happen.

Raimi is far better suited for this than Spider Man I'm glad he jumped ship on that.
I cant wait for this! I really hope this happens!! But, If Bruce aint in it, I aint watchin it! It aint Evil Dead without him. And I love how Ash's car is in all 3 Spiderman movies and in Drag Me to Hell!
Sam's car is in ALL of his movies
I had this fresh daydream... that Evil Dead IV was a lot like the DC comics crisis on infinate earths concept... where theres like 5 multi-verse Ashes against the impending Uber-Army of Darkness and how the Necronomicon was the prime staple connecting them all... as where the older, more rugged war-endured badass Bruce Campbell Ashe and the younger more accident prone Nicholas Brendon Ashe are fighting over the semi-foxy Catherine Isabelle Ashe, while meanwhile a very old bitter and cranky Martin Sheen (in Elvis shades) Ashe is shaking a cane at them all- as to where female Ashe tells both BC Ashe and NB Ashe to go fuck themselves and they both in unison say "well, then gimme some sugar baby, I could fuck myself anytime youre ready" and an Ashe on Ashe slap fight ensues.
this, I would pay to watch for 90 minutes.
Lol. They want to make a sequel yet they are remaking the original. I enjoyed Drag Me to Hell so I think Sam can pull it off.
We all know that the movie won't be the same without Bruce Campbell.
