- Actress Ellen Wroe plays "the daughter of a company executive, a woman with gymnast training who is a little snobby and for whom everything is a contest."
- Actor P.J. Byrne plays "an obnoxious kleptomaniac."
- Actor Nicholas D'Agosto is playing "a guy who doesn't make fast decision in his own life."

- Rumored to have the title 5nal Destination.
- It's said that opening scene will take place on a suspension bridge.
- Apparently there will be a scene involving a character undergoing laser-eye surgery.

- Writer Eric Heisserer also scripted the A Nightmare on Elm Street remake and The Thing prequel.

- Much like The Final Destination, this sequel will be in 3D.
- The Final Destination was originally intended to be the last installment in the franchise since development of the project was rough and the film itself received a lot of slack from critics, but the studio changed its mind when the pic made $66 million domestically and became a success overseas.

Just came back from seeing Final Destination 5. 5 star rating from me! The movie IS connected to the first film (has nothing to do with THE final destination aka FD4), and it IS done in the style of the first film as well. The 3-D was used wisely and wasn't used to make up for a lack in plot/ character development. Each one of the characters reminded me of each character in the first film. I think they did that on purpose, and it worked!
The ending was my favorite part of not only this movie but all of the movies! This says a lot because I LOVE the first 3 films. It is a mind blowing ending that makes you say "Holy Sh*t!". Just when you think the movie is over..BAM!
If you are a fan of the first three films and you have not seen this movie yet I suggest you see it!
A very big improvement over the fourth one. I still couldn't believe the ending. All I can say is wow.
Final Destination 5 is prequel.
Dude its called a spoiler alert
....nobody seems to fucking get that. The html is SIMPLE, use it. ....and is your avatar Mikey.... with a gun... aiming it like some 2-bit, G-Money assclown? Have you seen Halloween Resurrection? Halloween and hippity-hop just don't mix.
It would appear that his avatar is Michael with a gun
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, glad to see the franchise back on track. The gore quotient has returned to series standards after the distinct lack of gratuitous commitment number 4 demonstrated. Great opening credit sequence as well. The acting is passably bland as usual, the characters exist only to die in style, and that's really all we can ask of them. A marked improvement over the last outing in every regard.
Almost forgot for all Gore fans I believe this will satisfy them. Like i said on my other comment this is way better then the 4th installment of the series hands down.
Went to check this film out with an open mind but i don't know whether to like the film or just see it as part 4? Anyways without spoiling anything all I have to say is check it out. I strongly believe this HAS to be the final Final destination to the final destination series. I believe they ended it well.
After watching the four final destination again I have to say I will watch this film with an open mind. I liked the first three FD, the fourth one was above average. So yea i will give this one a check!
I have seen all 4 of the Final Destination films. However, For me there are really only 3 Final Destination films. All three of original films had something in common with each other while the 4th one is completely unrelated. I really hope they do a better job on the 5th movie.
I have to say that so far Final Destination 3 is my favorite. I think it's mostly because a roller coaster going off the tracks has always been a fear I've had in the back of my mind when I was riding on one. It's something that isn't ridiculous and it could happen in real life.
Tony Todd "Mr. Bludworth" was in Final Destination 3 too, he was the voiceover for the train engineer at the end.
"The Final Destination was originally intended to be the last installment in the franchise since development of the project was rough and the film itself received a lot of slack from critics, but the studio changed its mind when the pic made $66 million domestically and became a success overseas."
Like many of you that hate constant remakes, like myself. There is the problem. Want it to end, then protest the film and don't fucking see it.
Before seeing this trailer I always thought the FD's looked lame and to be honest with whoever reads this, kind of hooky, so I never bother watching any of them. But now I wondering if I've "missed the boat" on this whole series, especially after reading many of the posts here at UHM. I'm mostly into watching the macabre & very disturbing works on celluloid, i.e. Antichrist, Midnight Meat Train, Frontiers, just to name a few. Should I start with the first one or skip the ladder to somewhere in between ?
A few films you mention are in a category of gore fest same with the Final Destination series. All the Final Destination are different in their own way. That being said I strongly suggest you watch all the Final Destination. You won't be dissappointed especially after you watched Midnight Meat Train.
You just put Midnight Meat Train in the same catagory as Antichrist. Wow. Anyway, all of them except for "THE Final Destination" are exceptional. There's a very thin continuity, but it won't ruin anything if you see them out of order. I saw the second one first. Still, Antichrist...in the same catagory as Midnight Meat Train... o.0
In my opinion...I think you should see the series. And you should also start from the first one and work your way up. Now, im not going to lie, I kind of did not like the fourth one. But the others were pretty good to watch. Its not everyone's cup of tea but hey, it wont hurt to watch.
Yeah the first three were consistently entertaining, the fourth was a bit of a lame duck, but they can't all be winners I suppose. I have higher hopes for number five, though the verdicts not in yet.
This trailer don't look bad either but I'm still a little weary on the fact that these films are starting to go nowhere. I know horror films are pretty redundant after a while when you get too many of them. Kind of like the last Saw film that came out. I thought it looked really really cheaply made. It must have something to do with the 3D effect, or maybe too much CGI I don't know.
But in this film it's not advertised as 3D that's one good thing. I like the fact that Tony Todd is in it. That's pretty cool. But I hope they add more reasons behind the story why death keeps on doing this. I mean doesn't he ever just want to take a break and go to the beach! LOL.
But I probably won't go to the theater to see this, but I will rent it and watch it at home. I find I enjoy films better at home anymore instead of listening to annoying teenagers yacking and playing with their stupid cell phones. So disrespectful these days, you can't even enjoy a film anymore without it ruined by idiots with cell phones texting. Oh well, whoever does go to the theater. I hope you enjoy it. Hopefully I will too when it comes to DVD.
So i'm excited to see this, because after the atrocious fourth installment made way in the US, i'm thrilled to see that the writers brought back some of the first 3 films and bringing them back to a modern time like ours which is totally deprived of originality
You know? As a ten year old kid final destination scared the shit out of me . For weeks I would just look at things like my toaster or a tree branch and just be totally paranoid. Then a couple years later the sequel was released and me and my buddy snuck in from kangaroo jack and I just remember shrinking down in my seat from the intensity and atmosphere of the opening premonition scene. And the characters and death scenes of the third one where by far my favorate of the franchise. But what the FUCK with the fourth instalment? That was seriously one of the worst most undatisfyong film I've ever endured. Everything about is was just crap from the shity repetitive exposition ( really? It's the fourth time around. If audiences don't know what's up then that's there fault) to the shity shity shity cgi premonitions to the just down right horrible acting. I've seen more telling in soft core porn. So I don't know about another instalment. It's kind of playing itself out at warp speed. Am I wrong people?
ok so , the other final destination movies were fucking amazing! but the last one the final destination wasnt that great , not alot of blood and they added sex wich cut down on all blood... this movie looks very original and scary , hopefully some graphic blood for a change?
Let's wait until the MPAA rating comes out.
"Let's wait until the MPAA rating comes out."
Uh, you know it's going to be rated R!
Final Destination VS. 1,000 Ways to Die!
Damn This Movie Is going TO hella good Better Then Part 3 and 4 Cant Freaking Wait for this movie Kill THem All DEATH!!!! CHeck THe Opening Sequence for Scream Just Watched it On Youtube It Was cool Seeing The STupid 90210 Girl Get Stabbed!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in2qgckksc4&feature=channel_video_title
Hopefully this will be a LOT better than the disastrous 4th one. The preview gives me hope it will be as good as the first 3.
I hope that it's as good as Fast 5
To be fair i'm looking forward to this movie. Even if it is another sequel, the entertainment factor is always there. FD's are always worth a watch!
I like all of them its quite obvious you can't cheat death. I enjoy them for the unique deaths and each difference of situations in each movie.
I'm a fan of the first three, but the 4th felt as if it had it's balls chopped off. For what it's worth.... this one looks better.
Wow that trailer was great I can't wait for this.
I will watch it because I saw 4 sequels. What i dont like is the director.. He is sick and disgusting. Just the same as many directors for those things like that. I dont know why I watch it but it is so interesting and scary at the same time and the directors are disgusting and imagination and creative to make it look like it can be done in real life. Also they can teach sick people in real life to make a copycat.. The directors need to think twice and stop teach like that. Jeez!
It really wouldn't suprise me if Tony Todd was death the entire time.
This film is completely unnecessary. The franchise should have ended after FD2.
WTF is up with all the remakes and sequels?
No more cars, why can't they ever do a Final Desination on a cruise ship?
Death is Grim Reaper!
They shouldnt make another Final destination because the last one was 3D plus it was called THE FINAL DESTINATION and to me it wasnt a 4th one because it didnt say 4 in it so the 5th should just be stupid the fourth one everybody died on the 3rd the girl lived on the 2nd the boy or girl lived on the first the boy/or girl lived but the 4th yall call it everyone died so whats the point in another one?
love these movies hope this one will be good!
Can't wait for this I love these over the top kills that have a one and a million chance of happening but they actually could.
5nal Destination would be a perfect way to cap off the series... The effects were pretty good.. the acting was pretty less-than good
Why all the negativity, its just a movie and probably a fun one at that, I don't think the 4th one was as bad as people are making out, there are 100's of worse horror movies coming out every year than any in the FD series.
Everyone who is slamming the movies will no doubt go to see the new one in the cinema, so why slag it off before you have seen it ?
OK its a series, SAW was a series but a continuous follow on from each one, which does get stupid, but the way I see FD is each one as an individual movie, it may have references to the other movies etc. but each one is different and while they can keep coming up with new ideas for deaths and the incidents, they can carry on making these movies, I will watch them and am sure many, many others will.
I thought part 4 was one of the worst horror films I've ever seen, but I loved part 1, 2 and 3, and part 5 looking promising.
o.k...so i'm always down to see any type of horror movies....and I usually like them...BUT AT A CERTAIN POINT THEY SHOULD JUST STOP MAKENG THEM....I HATE when the make sequel after seqeul after sequal...I mean they just get soo stupid after a certian piont....i mean honestly how many f***in times and different ways can u kill that stupid monster....i don't mind If the movie goes to 3 or 4 sequals (IF THEY ARE GOOD MOVIES TO BEGIN W/). I mean i thought the other "Final D" was supposed to Be "The Final one"
I really hope this is the last one because you can just keep replaying this story over and over. Make this one good wrap everything up all nicely, like mabye the deaths caused in the other films kept these people from dying at their time so now death is doing its last sweep to finish up the buisness.
I'm sure everyone has since caught on by now.
Basically a premonition by an individual postpones the death of a small group and then one by one, said small group gets even smaller as the result of the goriest death a screenwriter can come up with while high on caffine.
The remaining members think they've figured out Death's plan and the way to beat it and survive to the end credits only to meet an even more gruesome end when a letter from said end credits falls off and crushes, impales, asphyxiates, etc, the remaining members.
Hey, I wouldn't be shocked if producers suggest a death by closing credits.
1,000 ways to die
That show is awesome
