Fans may recognize Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben from Andy Muschietti's IT.
The studio has reportedly set Ari Sandel (The Duff) to direct. Apparently they're also looking to cut down on the film's budget as well. (12/12/17)
Rob Lieber (Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day) is the latest to work on the script, which will not feature Jack Black as R.L. Stine. Apparently Jack Black hasn't officially signed on to the project and may not, depending on his schedule, so the studio is looking at potential scripts that don't feature Jack Black's character. When originally announced the film had the "Horrorland" subtitle, which is based on the spin-off series of books welcoming fans to HorrorLand: a vast theme park run by creatures called "Horrors." The series also had story arcs, which was a first for the Goosebumps series.
The sequel to the 2015 live-action Goosebumps movie.
