- Eli Roth is now in talks to direct the flick. The studio hopes to get production underway sometime in 2013. (7/11/12)
- Russell Crowe was originally going to play as Harker, but it's said that he's actually now playing Dracula.
- Jaume Collet-Serra was quoted saying: "Basically, we intend to make a film based on [Bram] Stoker's Dracula, but I respect the book. [Today is all about] vampires and very romance for girls thirteen years. But we want to bring back Dracula and demonstrate who is boss."
- Director Jaume Collet-Serra also helmed Orphan in 2009 and most recently Unknown starring Liam Neeson.
- It's said that the Jonathan Harker character is set up as a potential new franchise character.
