House of Re-Animator

Ignoring the previous three films, the story focuses on a "Bush-like president" who dies in office and his staff covertly brings in Dr. Herbert West to reanimate him.

PROJECT DETAILS:

It seems that the filmmakers were unable to find enough funding to move forward, reportedly due to producers too afraid of the political satire and jabs at former president George W. Bush. Now that we have a new president, much of what was originally in the script would no longer work.

The original crew of the previous Re-Animator films were set to return, including producer Brian Yuzna and writer Dennis Paoli.

William H. Macy was rumored to be playing the president of the United States.

Announced sometime around 2004/2005, this was planned to be the first in a new trilogy of Re-Animator films for the newly-created Halcyon International Pictures.
