when is the full afterdark originals set going to released because only a few of them, about 3 or 4, are being released on dvd and the rest i havent heard anything of? i hope that all of these are good. iv seen the mash-up trailer and the trailers seperately and they look like im have to watch them at night so i get the extra creepiness
anyways if someone has any clue of when the rest are supposed to be released that would be helpful
peace
unlike the years before, the releases trickle in on different dates. there are two or three later release dates for the other ones...i think it must be some kind of strategy to make each individual flick get more attention and make more money.
saw husk last night. it began with a lot of promise and pretty much just ran out of gas from the 2nd half to the end. it isn't a terrible movie and it's certainly not as bad as a lot of after dark films, but it just isn't very good either. by the end, you walk away feeling like you watched a made-for-tv-movie.
One of the better movies to catch on Syfy. It was pretty entertaining. I liked seeing the Jock and the nerd friends. The jock usually fucks with the nerd in most of these movies. I like the concept of the scarecrow moving from one to another to get around faster.
I just watched this on SYFY and I have to say it was pretty good, can't wait for the DVD release.
oh dude, you beat me to it. I was gonna say the same thing.
I like what I saw.
I hope this is rather great. Oddball creatures have always been a favorite for me. The last scarecrow movie was the one in 88 and one before that called simply Scarecrows which was about a couple bank robbers and their hostages that crash into a cornfield that is home to living scarecrows. Also the tales from the crypt episode with Patricia Arquette from season 2. Hopefully they will pour on the gore!
Scarecrows (1988) was the best scarecrow movie that I can remember, so its about time another good one came out... Suprised it took so long actually.
Totally agree. That was one creepy ass flick.
lol even the poster is quite the same

Man west nile has come a long way... but this looks pretty sweet.
Wow that was a really good trailer I can't wait to see this.
Not just this but all the After Dark Originals are going to be released January 28
Heres the plot I found it sounds good
"When a murder of crows smash into the windshield causing their car to crash, the group of young friends, inside, are forced to abandon the vehicle. Stranded beside a desolate cornfield, they see a light on in a window and decide to go in search of help. They head into the fields but instead of finding sanctuary they discover something evil and unnatural lurking in the corn."
"reanimated human scarecrows" doesn't that mean zombie scarecrows too
? "Said to be a throwback to 'classic original horror' and 'true 1960s creepiness, a nerve-wracking suspenseful script, and real character development'." This alone makes me want to see this and the fact that the plot sounds awesome
Totally agree with you.
This looks interesting. I look forward to seeing it.
Is this going straight to DVD or to theaters?
Devon Graye as Scott, the brainiac of the group
Wes Chatham as Brian, the jockey
C. J. Thomason as Chris
Tammin Sursok as Natalie
Ben Easter as Johnny
Josh Skipworth as Corey Comstock
Michael Cornelison as Farmer Comstock
Candice Rose as Farmer Comstiock's wife
Heres the cast I found
This sounds awesome I think it has alot of potential
. Also I don't think I'vs seen a walking scarecrow movie that didn't suck (Well when Jeepers Creepers was the scarecrow in the second he was beast but thats not a scarecrow movie
) or was a childs cartoon character
At the time I had submitted that comment I thought that there wasn't going to be Horrorfest anymore and they were just going to do the originals, but who knows, maybe they'll do both.
This sounds unique, if pulled off right, I'm sure it will be good. After all these horrible scarecrow movies, I've been hoping for a good one (this along with Jeepers Creepers III (JC3 better be better then the second one)) And by the way, this will be in the After Dark Originals, not the Horrorfest line up.
