PROJECT DETAILS:

It looks like this project is back to development hell after several years of no movement (again). (7/11/16)

The project was once said to be on the "fast-track."

Dark Castle Entertainment is behind this.

Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer (duo behind the My Bloody Valentine remake) will write together, with Lussier going behind cameras once again.

At one point Matt Venne (White Noise 2) was set to script and hoped to make it into a "Hitchcockian thriller" with a "cool killer".

Danny Kuchuck and John Weiner were originally hired to write the script.

This project has been "in development" for over 6 years.

There was a 1988 TV-remake version with the same name.

Remake of the original 1965 movie, which was based on a novel by Ursula Curtiss.
