Young mother-to-be Sarah is trying to rebuild her broken life: recently widowed in a shattering car crash that left her partially deaf, with her baby’s birth uncomfortably long overdue and alone, unpacking in unfamiliar surroundings having just moved home. She can only just stay afloat. As night descends on her deserted suburban street, there’s an unexpected arrival at the doorstep: Sarah receives a most unwelcome visitor.

Alone and carrying her baby, Sarah faces a calculating, cold-hearted and predatory woman – an adversary who will stop at nothing to snatch her unborn child. Trapped and disorientated, barely able to hear the evil that stalks her, Sarah must unleash all her reserves of strength to protect her baby and survive the night. Never underestimate a mother’s protective fury!

PROJECT DETAILS
  • Had its European premiere at the 49th Sitges Film Festival.
  • One of the film's producers was quoted saying: "We took the original idea and made it an edge-of-your-seat thriller, more Hitchcockian than a splatter-fest."
  • The film's sales company Embankment Films had this to say about the project: "Talking with the producers Adrian and Nuria we zeroed in on the theme of heightened jeopardy centered on two warring female protagonists – Miguel Angel’s reference to an elevated The Hand That Rocks The Cradle kept coming back to us. Jaume had this great idea for the remake and, with Manu, they’ve reimagined the original film as a very classy and tense thriller. With two great female characters fighting to be a mother, Miguel Ángel brings his distinct vision, setting up the film as a tense, sustained set piece that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats, for sure."
  • Director Miguel Angel Vivas also helmed 2010's Kidnapped.
  • Scripted by Jaume Balagueró of the Spanish [Rec] films and Manu Diez, who also co-wrote [Rec] 2 and [Rec] 4: Apocalypse.
  • This is a Spanish-produced English-language remake of the 2007 French film with the same name.
