Insidious was good for being a pg-13 movie. But I feel like after a while the movie became "cheesy" and laughable. It had some good scares but that was due to the loud music attached to it. Here's to hoping that the sequel will actually be shocking and good!

Sad Ok so no. No, No, No and another No for good measure. Insidious was terrible. The setup was done spectacularly and everything was going well until the "Goofy Red Guy" from cow and chicken came in. That move took a turn for the stupid and felt like a horror movie and a Buster Keaton movie duck taped together. What the director was thinking I have no idea but I just remember thinking, "Why would you do this to yourself". "I used to make good movies, like you, and then I took and arrow to the knee". Just let it die and move on. The creepy old lady isn't worth it...

I definitely agree with you on the whole weird looking devil guy. But, I also say that it was a scary factor that it came out of no where and it made a lot of people afraid. A lot of people including me want this sequel, hopefully it's better. Oups

I agree, completely agree, although I did find this movie to be more in line with classic horror movies, that focused on the scare factor as opposed to just the blood and gore, which is still nice, but a break is also nice.

"The obvious sequel to 2010's Insidious, which was a surprise hit, receiving a $54-million domestic box office total, and $155-million worldwide." -that's the reason for making another one probably.
