PROJECT DETAILS
  • Magnet Releasing will distribute the film in the US.
  • Alternate synopsis: It's a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can't.
  • The first footage from the flick will premiere at 2011's Fantastic Fest before the showing of Penumbra.
  • Fans may recognize actor Angus Scrimm, who plays the Tall Man from the Phantasm films.
  • Doug Jones (Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy 2) plays character "Roger North."
  • Daniel Roebuck plays a character named "Largeman."
  • Glynn Turman plays a Detective in the film.
  • Paul Giamatti plays a "reporter that the lead character is telling his story to."
  • Clancy Brown plays a "supernatural expert."
  • Though he should need no introduction, fans may remember writer/director Don Coscarelli as creator of the Phantasm series, and more recently, Bubba Ho-Tep.
  • Based on the book with the same name by David Wong.
