  • It's said that this will once again be a musical.
  • This project has been in development since it was originally anounced in 2009 with Declan O'Brien (Wrong Turn 3 to 5) set to helm the pic. Back then he said it wouldn't be a musical and it would be dark and go a "different direction."
  • The original film was turned into an Off Broadway musical, which would later serve as the basis for the 1986 remake.
  • This is a remake of the original 1960 Roger Corman film with the same name.
