Heidi, a blond rock chick, DJs at a local radio station, and together with the two Hermans (Whitey and Munster) forms part of the "Big H Radio Team." A mysterious wooden box containing a vinyl record arrives for Heidi, a gift of the Lords. She assumes it's a rock band on a mission to spread to spread their word. As Heidi and Whitey play the Lord's record, it starts to play backwards, and Heidi experiences a flashback to a past trauma.
Later, Whitey plays the Lord's record, dubbing them the Lords of Salem, and to his surprise, the record plays normally and is a massive hit with his listeners. The arrival of another wooden box from the Lords presents the Big H team with free tickets, posters and records to host a gig in Salem. Soon, Heidi and her cohorts is far from the rock spectacle they're expecting. The original Lords or Salem are returning and they're out for blood.

- Rob briefly described the tone of the film, saying: "I'm very excited about this one. It's a very different film. It's more of a slow, psychological burn as opposed to a physically violent kind of movie."
- Rob Zombie added the following about the storyline: "There were twenty people that everyone knows about - obviously all innocent - executed as witches in Salem. The basic premise of the film is that there were a further four who actually were witches, who were killed secretly, and vowed one day to return to wreak havoc on Salem's descendants. That's when the movie jumps ahead to the present day and things start to go wrong..."
- When announced the premise was described as being "set in contemporary Salem, where the inhabitants receive a demonic visit from a 300-year old coven of witches."
- Zombie reportedly wrote the script during his latest concert tour.
- Zombie fans will probably recognize the film's title as a track from his Educated Horses album.
- Zombie will reportedly have "total control over the script, casting and final cut."
- Rob Zombie said that he came up with the idea behind the film years ago, but pursued other ventures instead (Halloween films, The Blob remake). However, since he has decided not to do The Blob remake he now has his eyes set on this being his next feature.

Rob Zombie is such a good film maker and musician. I love the horror film. I am looking forward to it.
Diary Of a Butterfly Release Date
Hahahahahaha, i got the joke.
dude, why is chainsaw mike such a cynical piece of shit? he nitpicks at every movie like an old lady at a nursing home whos food is never hot enough or the bed that he lays in is not comfortable enough. Have yet to hear him say a positive thing about a film to this day. Go direct one yourself if you think you know what the horror/scifi genre needs. If not, shut your mouth and blog about it elsewhere cause your just polluting this site with your negative comments
....leave it to one of those males who actually duck-bill at a camera... Alright there sparky, apparently you're some trend following clownshoe that really thought it was getting "cool" to roll on me- because I, like a RZ ponyboy like yourself, have an opinion. First things first, cap'n self-righteous, I say plenty of positive things... USUALLY I'm arguing with people who randomly and in a (grammatically inept way) generically slam or slander another genre effort without warrant or reason. I support plenty of films on this site, unless- they're gonna be a train wreck. (or in this case, the mobile home falling off it's cinderblock foundation) Now.... dude, really.... it would seem you haven't actually read anything I've *ACTUALLY* written, outside, of course- for commentary on Mr. Rob Zombie's endless array projectile-vomit. Hey dude- you may love the shit he puts out... that's cool, not everybody knows how he hasn't had one original idea in his career... and that's cool too! But man... I can't willing hop on the bandwagon, sing his little praises... and play whack-a-mole with my schlong to Sherri Moon JUST BECAUSE you don't like my opinions. Wah dude, cool story bro. etc. Next time you wanna roll on me, man, ask/ bitch at me yourself instead of trying to play town-cryer. Dude, let's face it- you didn't like what I said and YOU called ME a "cynical piece of shit". See, I talk about things I like and don't like- you're just the keyboard warrior who likes to make personal attacks on other people... not attack opinions, thoughts, ideas, concepts or anything like that, you talk shit like you actually KNOW me. Dude- you're a douchebag, a big sloppy, slappy 'n' flappy sack of saline intended for the use of washing the sludge out of an abused vagina. Now button your shirt back up, can the duck-billing and PLEASE avoid spray-on tan... because, it looks like the only thing missing from the douchebag repertoire. p.s. I REALLY hope you're the dude in that pic... if not, sweetie- I think you're dating one of those self-loathing closet cases. p.p.s. Next time... capitalization, punctuation and grammar.
Why do I get the feeling that he actually watched a Rob Zombie movie and deleted his account. It's a shame how often that happens.
no one will read this ^ man...
i remember waiting for years for house of a 1000 corpses. anyone remember the teaser trailer of the guys in quarantine suits digging in the rain. that was released 2 years before the movie even came out. House was amazing and original. Devils rejects was more of a crime revenge thriller. very different movies even though rejects was a sequel. superbeasto just sucked flat out. Halloween was one of the best remakes to come out thus far. except for texas chainsaw, platinum dunes hit the ball out of the park with that one. halloween 2? no idea what zombie was smoking when he came up with that one. seems like hed just came up with a shit story to employ his wife in another movie. gotta say that halloween 2 deffianetly had much more brutal killings. and i know that the original halloween barely had any profanity or nudity but guess what, its a remake/reimagining. why would the try to follow the same exact guidelines. that would be boring. they make remakes to try and out do originals. im just glad that zombie is coming out with an original piece. hasnt been a good witch movie since suspiria. so kudos senior rob zombie. hope this movie kicks ass.

Why hello new friend! Hey, I was thinking about what you said... me being a cynical shithead and all, and I figured we could bury the hatchet by talkin' movies? Like buds do, right? Broski?
...Man, I LOVED Ho1kC... I mean... the oddball family, the gas station selling questionable food, everybody being all crazy and stuff living in the middle of nowhere... with the big GIANT dude chasing them all around with the melee weapon at the end... wow.... I'll tell ya, Texas Chainsaw 1 & 2... I mean Ho1kC was SO BADASSLY ORIGINAL HOLY FUCK!
...and Dude, Devil's Rejects... I said lots of good things about.... it's an outlaw flick... good job RZ.... NOW let's see him make another film where he's not replicating his last endeavor..... oops... didn't quite make it... Better luck next time with that H2 flick... WHOOPS... dropped the ball.... again. Hey, Hey, Hey.... ooh... Lords of Salem... maybe an interesting cast....? Sid Haig... check... Ken Foree... check.... Michael Berryman... CHECK... oh, and Sherri Moon has to be sitting this one ou....wait... nope... there's a big fucking surprise.
...how about some Beards and unbathed characters... because the whole worlds just a trailer-park... with no plumbing.
....Man, I like being buds with you Broski-between the eyes. I'm sure we'll be talking lots... and lots.... oh, and lots. You seem to be the kinda duckbilling-broski that I can really cook with. Oh, and welcome to UHM.
When this movie is updated, its always: "new pic(s)".
God,give Us a trailer!
>) Mr Zombie's movies are always gory and violent with lots of dark humer I am looking forward to it.
Honestly Im going to wait for the review before seeing this. Mr. Zombie's movies are hit-and-miss, much like Will Ferrel's. So far the only ones I liked were HO1KC and Halloween. Devils Rejects, H2, and Superbeasto were disappointing and just outright trashy. I mean, you can make a horror movie w/o swearing or sexual references (which in the case of these films is way excessive). I mean, look at the original Halloween. Very little swearing and the sex you dont see anything, and when Linda sits up bare breast and asks if he sees anything he likes, you still dont really see anything. Now that is what John Carpenter can do. Mr. Zombie, you have decent music, but knock off the attempts at horror films by making garbage. You're Not John Carpenter or Wes Craven. Nor are you Boris Karloff or Bela Lugosi or Lon Chaney Sr or Lon Chaney Jr.
I argree with alot of you rob zombie is a great at what he does. but it seems to me that hes loosing his touch. 1,000 corpses is his altime best. rejects seemed to take that story in a whole new angle. it kinda cought me off gaurd. halloween was great. he dosnt do good on sequals. i dont know what it is. but most of his movies seem the same. it seems he sobered up or somthing like that. hes got a clean look now. his new albums are really slow and dull. but there will always be classic rob zombie. i will not judge this movie until ive seen it first. it might be a superbeast.
Who is that in the bathtub pic?
Maria Conchita Alonso.
Why isn't she listed in the cast?
She is listed
I really wanna see the trailer for this before I know if it's worth watching.
I am willing to watch this. I watched his other movies. But please, grow up already and tone down the profanity. It is so overused and frankly, forced in all of his movies. And how about having the women in the movie look and feel less trashy.
If only Danielle Harris were to join the cast, that would be AWESOME!
Hey, what's wrong with a little bearded rape? I suppose that the genre might be the same say if RZ had'nt made a film. Though I must admit how bored I was with the mainstream up until then the release of a 90 min RZ video. I still have hope for the guy knowing that he won't make a groung breaking household film, ( unlike some of his awful music that's in every tecno movie in a dollar bin). I was entertained by the least, though not enough to watch them more than once. p.s. Thank You.
FINALLY!!! You just got my complete respect (which isn't worth shit, but I rarely give)- I can totally agree with you there, most people will sing his praises and never accept he has faults as a writer/ director- and that's where I usually end up having some long winded fight with someone, I can totally respect your opinion, that yes RZ is entertaining at the least and maybe there's hope if he breaks away from his repeat formulas. Cheers!
Sid Haig just joined the cast. My guess is the break away isn't going to happen for some time. I enjoy his music and his films, but he needs to broaden the casting horizon, among other things. I prefer is original films over the remakes, so I was glad to see he was working on something of his own. I'm well aware he wont be making the next horror film to go down in history with all the classics, as should everyone else. But there are far worse writers and directors who get twice as many fans as him. He, in my opinion, has the potential to improve on his film career, but he still makes good movies, but I have a wide range of what's considered good, so that might be why I enjoy his films, lol. I love the whole exploitation film thing, but he kind of stays in his comfort zone with location/casting/theme.
Why do i have this gut feeling that this movie is gonna be a lot like halloween 2 where Rob is so involved with giving us crazy visions or memory flashes in this movie, that the movie will seem like its 50 percent filler. Then after all the flashes of torture porn and a story line that will at best be par, but from previous film experience I'm willing to bet subpar we may get 5 minutes of the witch terrorizing the modern Salem, making the whole experience feel like it was a tragic inconvinience for the town but leaving much to be desired for a true supernatural horror film. Sad to say, I'm going to do something i've never done. See what the movie critics say before i spend my hard earned cash on this.
Are most of you people waiting for another saw sequel? That means that some of you have no taste in the horror genre and that you've been listening to living dead girl on repeat for a decade. Rob's visions have pushed the direction of horror into another dimension. Does anyone remember the horror genre before House of a 1000? Remember how most horror films were few and far between, that they would most likely be in your theater, because there was hardly any gore or shock value? Directors have been competing for goresome originality since House was picked up. You will all see this film anyway you look at it; you either hate or love Rob's work, but if you're a gorehound, you love his films. Rob Zombie is the kind of artist that moves forward, if your a fan then you should too.
You mean 2003? After the psychadellic mess of Ho1kC was in perpetual limbo because it was a 90 minute RZ music video? (no less in the vane of Living Dead Girl/ More Human than Human) Films like 28 Days Later, Dog Soldiers, American Psycho, Cabin Fever, the Texas Chainsaw remake, Haute Tension, Wrong Turn, Final Destination I & II- these few examples (only 2000-'03) are where Horror was before/during the injection of not GORE (which was already readily in flux) but cheap shock/ Troma-esque Schlock tactics like rape (and beards)introduced by Zombie... who never looked "forward" but, as I've said before, rehashed every 70's horror convention the genre had moved passed (in the name of compelling stories and a larger audience than the nickle 'n' dime grindhouse scene had never acquired) So, if I can choose between Saw 8, or another beard, rape and Sherri Moon filled hillybilly hootenanny- my dollar is on Jigsaw.
p.s. Welcome to UHM.
Rob Zombie, you need to make a zombie film
http://rzfilms.blogspot.com/ <<< The Lords of Salem exclusive update! Photos & More!
I didn't know that there were trailer parks in Salem? So.... the DJ plays a haunted copy of Rush's 2112 album at the local strip club, where sheri moon giggles and strips and gets possessed by a witch.. after her shift she goes and dances nekkid in a cemetery, raising the careers of Ken Foree and Sid Haig from the grave. Ken and Sid begin selling fried chicken and pimpin sheri's possessed stripper friends to raise the money to buy a vacant "salem's lot" of land, where they will undoubtably raise the doublewide-of-the-damned. The poor residents of Salem will be under the witches' curse where they will all grow straggly beards and begin speaking with southern accents, confederate tattoos mysteriously appearing on their skin, budweiser cans replacing the local drinking water and the next thing you know- a rape filled hootenanny will overtake the town's halloween jamboree! Not to mention 7 ft tall hulking, bearded witch-hunters which all seem to oddly share the appearance of RZ himself. (Soundtrack by Rob Zombie, Rush, Foghat, Thin Lizzy and Unknown Hinson)
Best. Comment. Ever.
