PROJECT DETAILS
  • A recent interview with Platinum Dunes producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller revealed that they currently aren't developing the remake anymore. Quoting that "it's dead." It's possible it may get picked up again in the future, but at the moment it's dead. (8/4/14)
  • Apparently the studio is afraid to move forward with the project, as a recent interview with Rob Cohen revealed that they've just been sitting on it. (10/8/12)
  • Co-writers Brian and Mark Gunn also worked on Bring it on Again and are working together on the Mighty Mouse film and upcoming sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth.
  • Writer Brian Gunn is the brother of James Gunn (Slither), while Mark Gunn is the cousin.
  • Platinum Dunes (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street) produces.
  • It's currently uncertain what kind of monsters will be featured in this remake.
