The original followed a farmer who would kidnap and bury unsuspecting travelers up to their necks in his garden and keep them alive until they're ready to be picked and made into his famous beef jerky.

PROJECT DETAILS
- This project has since disappeared from the MGM slate and is likely to have been put into a "development hell" stage.
- MGM was originally said to be fast-tracking this project.
- Originally set for a December 7th '07, then Halloween '08 theatrical release.
- A remake of the 1980 horror comedy with the same name.

You know, movie makers just have no real good ideas for new films. I mean unless you like horror movies, many people know nothing of the original. So yeah, they remake cult classics (and non) because it's new to many. I wonder if they day will come when they start re-writting classic books?
I sincerely hope this stays in hell and isn't remade. The original wasn't even funny or scary. It was just plain stupid. IF you must make remakes pick decent movies to remake in the first place.
Why mess with a classic???? seriously we know the stories already and if somethings different in the story it just ruins it!
This is one of my favorites of all time i hope they just leave it alone. this remake craze is fucking ridiculous...the only remake i am looking forward to is the crazies....
