My Soul to Take
| |
In the sleepy town of Riverton, legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Now, 16 years later, people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead? Only one of the kids knows the answer.
Adam "Bug" Heller was supposed to die on the bloody night his father went insane. Unaware of his dad’s terrifying crimes, he has been plagued by nightmares since he was a baby. But if Bug hopes to save his friends from the monster that’s returned, he must face an evil that won’t rest…until it finishes the job it began the day he was born.

PROJECT DETAILS
- Originally had an October 29th 2010 theatrical release before getting a push forward to October 8th.
- It's said that the film will be converted to 3D.
- Originally titled 25/8, which was a phrase in the movie, saying that if you fight the devil 24/7, it's not enough -- you have to fight him "25/8." Apparently that bit of dialogue is not in the film anymore.
- Max Thierot will play a naive character named "Bug", which was also the film's original title.
- Henry Lee Hopper (son of Dennis Hopper) was originally set to star in the film, before contracting an illness that forced him to leave production.
- Craven has described the film as more of a thriller than slasher.
- Produced by Wes Craven, Anthony Katagas and Iya Labunka.
- This marks Craven's latest written feature since 1994's New Nightmare.
- Written and directed by Wes Craven.

This Flim look's sick from the preview's like most horror movie's do till you watch then it's all slow.
3D Horror Wes Craven Flim this movie kinda reminds me of movies like The Ring and Mirror and another sprit horror flicks been out most of them straight DVD and low budget with no good Actors
Wes Craven,I will definitely give it a shot.
Alot of horror movies been coming out hasn't lived up to it's money worth or say sucked or been straight out terrible but this movie seem like it be well worth it maybe horror movie that bring back horror flims been while since great horror flim been made 3d aswell and Wes Craven flim should be GREAT
The trailer looks OK, but i am afraid that the movie will rely too much on overused and cheap scares, like the killer's hand coming out from the wall and attacking Bug. Besides that, i really hope that a supernatural element will be involved. I am not quite into teen/slasher flicks, but i like Wes Craven's style and this movie has a good budget. This is the reason for which i will watch "My Soul To Take".
Love the song for it. Looks good. Of course what else can i expect from horror master Wes Craven who brought us such memorable slashers as Ghostface. and Freddy Krueger. Not to mention the Djinn. >)
This is going to be awesome, especially with Wes Craven directing
.
I can't believe they used You're Going Down by Sick Puppies in the trailer this makes it 10x's better for me because that song is AWESOME!!!!!
As soon as I heard Wes Cravens name I knew I had to see this he always makes good movies like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, The Breed and I could go on forever
The trailer looks pretty sweet to me. I'm seeing it!
The trailer reminds me of Cry Wolf, Final Destination, and A Nightmare on Elm Street 2
Is it just me or is there a pattern here or is this movie A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream combined. Yes I noticed they don't die in their sleep but following the nightmare pattern mixed with the killer theme. I mean the boy is having nightmares about this stuff and a killer is killing people. This is going to be a coin toss movie to me whether I wanna see it or not. Looks ok though really.
It's just you.
my soul to take looks awesome, but i think it did show a bit to much of the movie..........
Did the trailer give a bit too much of the movie?
I think sooooo!
Hhmmm, this just might have enough supernatural tone to it to make me want to see it.
Sort of Cherry Falls? Though I'm sure Cherry Falls isn't original either. None the less I can't get enough Wes Craven and snotty, over-dramatic, Hollywood styled American teens, (why do they portray them thus, using 30 year old actors and call them Chip, Chuck or Rod?) being slaughtered in ever more gruesome ways. Aaah, the justice.
Wes Craven rarely fails to deliver! Except with Scream 2&3. And he done the Hills Have Eyes movie besdies 2 or 3 Nightmares That and the orginal last house and the remake! Go Wes! Next up: Wes vs John Carpenter! Who will win the horror title?
Wes Craven guys... come on this will be worth the watch
not a big fan of thrillers. i like my movies intense so i think it goes without saying that i miss cravens old films. i wish he wouldn't let his moral experiences with LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT deter him from making another nasty horror flick.
I really think he stays in his comfort zone and I heard this one was a remake let's see what he can do.
Just don't let him direct another Swamp Thing.
This sounds like a really cool movie!
