Night of the Demons

Angela Feld is throwing the Halloween party to end all Halloween parties at the infamous Broussard Mansion in New Orleans, where dark events transpired almost a century ago. But when the packed party gets busted by the police, Angela and her friends Maddie, Lily, Suzanne, Colin, Dex and Jason are the only ones left behind. Soon Colin and Angela make a grisly discovery in the basement and inexplicable events start to take place. With the mansion gates mysteriously locked, the seven find themselves trapped for the night...and soon they're fighting ancient demons for their very souls.

- Going straight to DVD via E1 Entertainment.
- Originally had an October 9th '09 release.
- Premiered at the UK's Frightfest on July 30th.
- Filmed New Orleans.

- Linnea Quigley returns for a brief cameo appearance, which will play homage to the original film.
- Actress Shannon Elizabeth plays "Angela."
- Not much is known about the project except it'll be a modern take on the first film, but also still offer the same stuff we saw in the original, I.E. blood, guts, breasts, demons, etc..
- Written by Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson (duo behind Mother of Tears: The Third Mother, Autopsy).
- A remake of the original 1988 film.

this remake looks decent so i do plan on seeing this one, although i wont hold my breath for this one to even be close to be as great as the original.
First one was great! I will watch it but it will probaly not be as good from what i can see on the trailer.

Yes the first couple Night of the Demons were AWESOME!!!!!!! lol Ill see how this one is but might be ok.
I watched the trailer and thought this looked really crappy. But after watching the promo clip it looks much better. I am not saying that it will be a blockbuster, but could be a cult classic like the original. >)
I'll say it this movie is going to be horrible ! The original a classic with the effects and the storyline. And it even had decent character development. I dare say the this remake will be lacking that among other things.
OH and nothing could top the dance scene and bauhaus playing in the background. There is not a bad going today that could create that type of atmosphere.
Why do they keep making these horrible remakes when there are tons of writers and indie horror film makers just itching to get there big break.Any producer in holly could find a decent movie by simply search the net for a random inie horror film maker and send him or her a check for one million dollars and they would make a film a thousand times better then any remake that has come out so far.
Shannon did get plowed by an evil snowman, so, I can definitely give her a chance. Hey, 10-20 years later, our kids can complain to their kids how this version sucks, as then make another version.

I loved the original Night of the Demons and am pretty excited about this one. I hope they somewhat stick to the original plot and dont stray too much from it. The trailer has me a little nervous but it still looks entertaining enough to give it a try. I really hope they keep Angela's character sort of the same but it looks as if they've changed her just a bit which could lead to some disapointment.

Okay first off why is everyone saying that this looks worse than the original film? Nothing can be worse than the original film. It was pointless, stupid. They act like so many teenagers that age rely on their friends for help. And second why are you all hating on Shannon Elizabeth's acting? She acts the way that the director tells her. So before you wanna judge other people's acting you should think about your horrible choice in movies.

moving on... come on, night of the demons' only charm was is 80's style spooky cheese factor- poorly written, directed and executed. its a fun little romp not to be taken seriously, thats why its a genre classic.
Most teenagers are in fact nothing without their friends, unless they're emo kids... who just don't accept they're not as tragic and alone as they pretend to be. ZING.
As for Shannon, she can't act for shit, the director can coach her on how she's stripping down, but it kiiiinda stops there
(quality of acting really isn't in the director's control
). But, her tits make her famous and perfect for this kinda movie.... formula- washed up actress with a nice set of cans, I definately see her taking up the Linnea Quigley torch here.

the original NIGHT OF THE DEMONS was a low budget horror i agree but how dare you call yourself a HORROR FAN it was one of the best b horrors of it's time. go back to watching ben 10 or care bears

This movie is going to be absolutely terrible. The preview is so disapointingly bad, almost as bad as shannon elizabeths acting abilities.
When I first heard about the remake I was stoked since I love the original but after viewing the trailer...I'm sort of disapointed. It's just seems so different and missing something. I think having a sucessful remake is lot harder than some think, you really have to capture the depth of the original w/o coming off fake and cheesy. I hope I'm wrong but I guess I'll have to wait and see.
im hoping this remake is going to be good. part 1 and 2 were awsome but the 3rd like some ppl say didnt really like. same here. the only thing im upset bout in this reamke is there not using the same house or name! any ways im prayin its a hit!
Really? Linnea Quigley is going to be in it? Nice to see past actors wanting to be in remakes of their cult films. Now if Warner Brothers would stop giving grief to John Carl Buechler about the Harry Potter character and references from his original Troll movie, he can do his proper remake.
i cant wait to see the remake. i loved night of the demons 1 and 2. the third one wasnt as good because it wasnt the original hullhouse or original story. the remake isnt either but hopefully it will be a good movie.

I think its cool that they're remaking this movie... If they are gonna remake movies, I think they should remake the less popular movies, such as this one... not movies like Friday the 13th and stuff....
The original was so cool: somewhat original story, lots of nasty gore, creepiness, and dark humor. Given the track record of remakes this decade and the last, it's pretty doubtful this one (and A Nightmare on Elm Street) is going to be worth a sack of runny dog turds. Anyone who expects otherwise is either a) too young to know any better or b) rides the short bus.
One of the GREAT horror movies from the 80's! If they mess this one up im gonna get all ANGLEA on their ass and seek revenge! HAHAHHA! Here's hoping its good!
