The anthology will center on a series of down-on-their-luck individuals who enter the decrepit and spine-chilling Rialto theater, only to have their deepest and darkest fears brought to life on the silver screen by The Projectionist (Rourke) – a mysterious, ghostly figure who holds the nightmarish futures of all who attend his screenings. By the time our patrons realize the truth, escape is no longer an option.
Mickey Rourke plays a character named "The Projectionist," who will be the host of sorts that wraps each story.
It's said that each segment will be around 20 minutes.
Joe Dante (The Howling, Gremlins) will direct Mirari by Richard Christian Matheson.
The UK's David Slade (30 Days of Night) will direct This Way to Egress, which he co-wrote with Lawrence C. Connelly, based on Connelly's short, Traumatic Descent.
Japan's Ryuhei Kitamura (Midnight Meat Train, Versus), will direct Mashit by Mexican author and filmmaker Sandra Becerril.
Cuba's Alejandro Brugues (Juan of the Dead), will direct The Thing in the Woods, which he also wrote.
Mick Garris (Stephen King's The Stand), will direct his own short story, Tyler's Third Act.
