- Much like they did with the first film, fans can demand to see it in their city, only this time it's for a free early screening. Click here to demand it!
- Director Kip Williams also worked on 2004's The Door in the Floor and 1998's The Adventures of Sebastian Cole.
- Saw VI director Kevin Greutert was initially attached to helm Paranormal Activity 2 for Paramount, but in a surprise turn of events was brought back to direct Saw VII for Lionsgate, bumping David Hackl and leaving this film open for a new director.
- Writer Michael R. Perry has served under several genre-related television shows such as Millenium, FreakyLinks and Stephen King's Dead Zone.
- The premise and "real title" are currently being kept underwraps.
- Original producers Jason Blum and Oren Peli return.
- The budget to this sequel will likely be bigger than its predecessor.
- The previous film was budgeted at a mere $15,000, but has reportedly racked upwards to $151 million in worldwide grosses.
- The obvious sequel to the hit no-budget film Paranormal Activity.

I dont get it.
I really don't get it.
The whole movie was just about people chasing after a ghost and hearing noises and seeing shadows.
Not really what I call scary, it would be if it was actually true but sorry to break it to you its really not, check out the people who were in the movie, they were actors. The second one I'm pretty sure is the same, but whatever then I can see other people enjoy watching it and find it scary as hell. But please if any of you guys can explain to me what made it scary reply i wanna see what made you jump. I don't like saying something sucks unless I've seen it and listen to why people thought it was scary.
I'm not sure who you are "breaking it to" but I think all of us have a firm grasp on reality and can understand that actors were playing roles. If you don't get it then it's just not for you, plain and simple. Personally, and i say personally because this is my experience and i actually understand that everyone has their own experience with the movie which may differ. Personally i had a good time with the first movie, it was a packed theater, i got decent seats, and i let myself get immersed in the movie which is extremely important in watching movies like these. Although i didn't physically jump in the movie, I was enthralled and genuinely chilled towards the end of it. The only advice I can give to someone who can't see the good in this (the first) movie is to just create atmosphere while your watching it. Lights off, volume high, alone or at least without distraction, just get rid of all the skepticism and barriers and just let yourself get scared. Now i realize i cannot change your or anybodys opinion. but this is just my advice. BTW Regarding your avatar, Death Note is awesome.
ha yeah death note is cool, and I know were your coming from, it was one of those times you put yourself in the mood of the movie making you intrigued and leaving you at the edge of your seat. But I have had a number of people come over to me telling me it is the scariest movie ever and its totally real, that is normally when I face palm. i guess when i watched it (which was a party of about 7 people laughing at stubborn people that tell us they know the people in the movie) i just didnt get into it. I guess it was the hype that they showed on the adds that let me down. Just not my movie but i think im gonna see how they manage to do a sequel, i seriously dont get how though, but watever. The first flim was okay but best parts was last 20 mins of the flim and this one look like it will scare the shit out you and hopefully have moments of shit happening more in this flim I will see this no doubt.
The first one sucked so bad i whanted to go home and off my self cuzz i spent $7.50 to see 3 ppl and a few moveing things
Oh my god..you can clearly see the chick from the first one in the viral clips and the trailer...*face palm* This could go either way. I mean..it wasn't scary..this one looks like it might be interesting...what with all the viral clips showing the baby and the chick from the first one..the dude being dragged away and stuff like that. Let's hope it isn't another mockumentary fail.

Did you watch the movie? If so you would know that the best scene was not the door slamming. It was the scene where he bring's the Ouija Board in to the house.

Because it was already filmed a long time ago. The cast just hasn't been revealed.
Paranormal Activity 2 I think 50/50 chance of topping the 1st one alot of 2nd part flims unlikely dont beat out the first part of the flims.
the first one was creepy, makes you wonder what goes on in your own dwelling while you're sleep. who would playback the tape after letting the video record all night, think about it

Why do alot of people bagout paranormal activity? It was great, just like the first time i watched Blair witch that handycam gives it a sense of reality, freaky stuff,sends chills down your spine.
His Halloween remakes were good though.
Now you wanna watch a crappy movie,watch Rob Zombies House of the Dead now that was crap then he followed it up with the Devils Rejects another stinker..............
But you have to admit that the sequel for Blair Witch was just horrible. There's a bad track record if you look back at history is all.
Ok here is my opinion, the first was somewhat scary and anyone who says other wise is either lying or didn't sit there and get into the movie. The first was just the beginning and the second one is going to be a lot scarier!

Yeah I do know, but not every thing caught on film is fake... The internet is a pretty messed up place if you actually go look, not that I do lol, just making a point. I'm a horror fan because it's entertaining, and I would love to find the one movie that actually scares me... lol. You don't have to be scared of horror movies to be a horror fan... Just so you know.

Ok I am sick and tired of hearing everyone say that this movie is going to suck. Yes I know that some sequels aren't as good as the frist movie, but there have been sequels that stand out on there own.
Hints: The Godfather 2, Superman 2

i hate this paronormal activity crap i wasnt scared but this movie is just plain awful now im not trying to talk bullshit about the story i just dont like it personally and i am glad to see kevin greutert go direct saw 7 cause he did a good job with saw 6 but paronormal activity 2 will be one of the worst movies in my opinion about as worse as the honeymooners starring cedirc the entertainer i mean the entire cast was black and in the honeymooners show the cast was white WTF but like i said thisd is just my opinion

...and so what? A producer knew they could never remake the Honeymooners with an uptight, white cast. Not with every P.C. (that's politically correct, buffoon.) committee tearing them up and crucifying for comedic threats of violence towards women. HOWEVER, a black cast couldn't be put under the microscope for that because they have the age-old Get out of jail free card. Know what that does? Allows the bloody movie to be FUNNY. Get it? Got it? Who cares- shut up.

I have not gotten the chance to see the first one. I hope to soon, but the this teaser makes me excited. And to you that were not scared by the first one... SHUT THE HELL UP!!!! There are no really SCARY horror movies these days. For example, I recently watched 28 days and weeks later, The Crazies, and Quarantine and i wasn't "scared" but I'm not complaining. They were entertaining to watch and i enjoyed them. even if you didn't like the movie at all, we don't want to hear you complain.

The only reason why the movie freaked me out was because I believe in the paranormal. Now is it a good movie to watch again? By MY opinion no. Now will I? Probably if asked or forced. It wasn't downright horrible like the Blair Witch Project. Saw the teaser for it and possibly may watch this one since I did see the first.

First: Was it really necessary to post your opinion about it not being scary and you being disappointed in an exact word for word fashion, twice.
Second: Who makes you the authority on what is scary and what isn't scary. Some people were scared, some weren't, that doesn't make it a bad movie. I wasn't scared, but I enjoyed it. Now don't get me wrong I'm not like "fuck you, you didn't like it, your dumb." I'm just stating my opinion that I enjoyed it as did so many others.
Third: Capitalization, punctuation, and spelling the word anyone, is it really that difficult?
So Kevin Greutert went from directing this piece of crap sequel to Saw VII? I don'y know which one is worse.
first one boring and second one super boring
the first one was great i havnt been scared like that in a very long time. so i cant wait for the second one, im sure it will be a bit scarier then the first, although i dont know how much more then can do to scare ppl. anyways im waitn for this one

That Teaser sounds good and interesting.
OK, that teaser made me mildly interested.
But the more I look at the teaser the more it reminds me of a Stewie and Brian adventure from FAMILY GUY. Hopefully it won't end up that silly.
I'm going to guess what the basic synopsis is for this movie, just from the teaser. A new family moves into their house unsuspecting of a haunting. Then the ghost (or possibly still alive/hiding) girl from the first haunts them and makes their lives hell... but more terrorizing ways then the first (due to larger budget). Now to see if I'm right or wrong.

Why. Why did they have to go fuck up another movie by making pointless sequels. I liked the first movie because it was pretty original. A lot of people say that it wasn't scary. NO FUCKIN SHIT. It's a movie, so it's not gonna be scary.

the first one was kinda cool, and i actualy believed them when they said it was on actual events... 
hows it on actual events if there's a second film? The man got killed the woman suppositly dissapeared, how can the second film add up if the demon is still in her? 
>) I read somewhere that it's supposed to follow the storyline of the woman that was followed by the same supposed "entity" and later was posessed and died, the woman that Mikah had found information about on the web that was "haunting" his girlfriend. I don't know, could go either way. Thought the movie was fun. I fell asleep on my couch watching paranormal entity.
look i have had paranormal expirenses before but when i saw the movie paranormal activty it was nothing like that but the movie was crap eneyway an now a second one jeez are they trying to put me asleep cause its working lol
the first one was a total disaster...and so will be this one...really this film makers need to keep out of Blair Witch and create something out of that limit
