PROJECT DETAILS

This project is a long ways off as it's merely in the early development stages right now. The studio and Ridley Scott are interested in moving forward with a sequel, but they still need to find writers and a proper script before officially going into production. Despite wanting to move forward already, the studio claims that they "want to get it right" and don't want to rush anything. (8/2/12)
Ridley Scott would return to direct.
Original scripter Damon Lindelof may not return, so the studio is looking for potential new writers to script.
Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace return.
The obvious sequel to the 2012 film Prometheus, which served as a semi-prequel to the Alien franchise.
