This was the worst movie I have seen in quite some time. Like someone said, it's a blatant rip off of the "slow-motion" shooting as seen in the Matrix. Being a huge fan of the original game I typically keep my expectations somewhat high but this film was an absolute joke. Also, what was the deal with the beginning of this movie? It was so ridiculous and terrible that only someone who enjoys a healthy dose of B movies could come close to tolerating.

saw it on opening day and thought the movie was good. great 3D effects, decent story and good action. that's really all you can ask of a movie like this. it's the fourth of the series and some people are acting like it should of been "Citzen Cane". milla jovovich is great as always and really has this character down pat. can't wait for the next 2 in 3D.

Just saw this today and all i can say is that this movie was decent....AT BEST!!! Yeah the 3d was cool, few good fight scenes, but it just didnt get me that well. Another video game movie where they get well known actors/actresses to play roles of people they dont even look like, the characters that have nothing to do with the game that go "hi, im so and so, I am going to die in the next scene.", bits from every game put into one movie, big huge monster awesome in the game but crap in the movie, ect. Im not trying to compare it completly to the game cause they never compare. i look at is as A movie. Movie did have my attention, good 3d scenes, decent beginning, middle, but HORRIBLE end. Its watchable, but not as good as everyone says it is and I LOVE the resident evil games.

after seeing this movie...in 3D, i have to say this is the best one out of the series. if you go and see it, stay a few minutes during the credits, for a sneak peek of whats to come. i don't think you'll be disappointed. oh and the shower scene, that was fucking awesome!

the effects look good but i just don't know.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this will have zero depth and will be so contrived and boring that the mere thought of going to see this puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Love the idea of this movie I like the characters they are bringing in, I love the weapons ive seen they are bringing in (They are bringing in MoFreaking Ninja Stars:))Ive been playing Resident Evil games since Resident Evil Nemsises(Sorry if i spelled it wrong)..But These movies are good i love seeing what hollywood can do with Zombies its my favorite Movie genere and it always will be.I hope they bringin Leon Kennedy and they BETTER bring in Jill Valentine.My opinion we need more guns and fighting scenes please dont make Alice fall in love or some shit.And maybe takes some ideas from the Terminator movies where the humans are in small groups and Alice comes across them and helps them in certian ways..Idk just make this movie good

I think this'll be a great entry to the film series. For those expecting a complete remake of the game content: Good Luck, become filmmakers and make it yourselves. Remakes are all the craze in Hollywood. I for one like the whole series and am excited Paul W. S. Anderson is coming back to do this film. I wonder when pictures of Jill Valentine will surface.

Thou I really do love this seires, and Alice, I think it's her time to depart, whether she dies or goes somewhere else. It's time to focus more on Claire, Jill, Leon or Chris since this movie will start off a whole new trilogy. But I do like how this movie is somewhat going back to the roots of the games.

Another one of these horrendous takes on that good and eerie franchise, huh? Give me a break. They should of stopped after the first God awful movie. I'm not moved by supposed hot women doing action stuff, that's just a gimmick for men to watch. I want Resident evil, which this movie has none of. Anyone else notice that they just took Jill and the girl off in the third one? What the hell? They didn't even give a single explanation as to what happened to them. And where are the actual characters from the damn series? Yeah, there are some in there, but they are just there. They should of started with the original storyline and went from there, not do what Paul Anderson considers " Resident Evil". And having seen the other movies, I have every right to say this movie will be bad. They've been keeping the same crap since day one. What is the point of making a movie based on a game and take away anything that resembles it? I want my Hunters, damn it! Any true fan should be appalled by this. This is unexcusable and reckless. This isn't even scary. It is an action thriller. Hello! The game is survival horror, or used to be.

so theyv cast atleast decently for the charecters but wentworth is not even close. now jared padalecki who was originaly set to play leon was perfect not jensen ackles which i think was a mix up.

Does this movie preview remind anyone else of the matrix and how the film franchise has slowly manifested Alice into "the one" over the course of three movies?

Unfortunately the poor plot and lack of zombie love won't stop me from seeing the movie, but the only reason I watched the last three was to see the scenes Milla Jovovich was naked... The rest of the series is just funny looking colors filled with a few "I could take it or leave it" moments.

I remember the original video game series being awesome. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that I was younger when I played it and much more impressionable to all the little things that made you think twice about walking down that dark street. The movies simply don't give me that feeling.

I think the plot of each film is becoming more and more predictable. I mean, we all know for definite at the end theres gonna be some sort of 'boss' which she battles and somewhere in the storyline, one of the most popular characters will probably get killed off. But other than that, i really enjoyed all of the Resident Evil releases and this is probably one of the films im most excited for.
