No official plot yet, but the original told the story of a young couple, who move into a New York apartment, where the woman becomes mysteriously pregnant, and soon discovers that her neighbors are a part of a coven of witches and her husband has allowed her to be impregnated by the devil in exchange for a successful career.

PROJECT DETAILS

• This project was originally anounced in early '08, but luckily Platinum Dunes has since abandoned the idea of a remake.
• Platinum Dunes initially planned to be very careful with how they approach the remake, since the original was such a classic film and a "jewel" in the Paramount library.
• Paramount will team up with Platinum Dunes (The Hitcher '07, Friday the 13th remake, The Birds remake) for this project.
• The original film was based on the best-selling novel by author Ira Levin.
• The obvious remake of the 1968 Roman Polanski film.
