PROJECT DETAILS
- Filming is aimed to begin sometime Summer 2012.
- Was originally slated for an April 20th 2012 release. No word if the January 11, 2013 is still valid.
- Malcolm Lee (Undercover Brother, Roll Bounce, Soul Men) directs.
- When the project was originally announced co-writer/producer David Zucker was going to direct.
- When first announced, Jim Abrahams (Airplane!, Naked Gun films, Scary Movie 4) was said to be writing.
- The obvious sequel to the long-running Scary Movie franchise.

all i can think is "thank god zucker isnt directing." he pretty much watered down and raped the last two.
really don't think this movie should be encouraged...
I know I'm going to catch some shit for this, but it's my opinion. When they went from almost an all black cast with 2-3 white people in SM 1&2, to an all white cast in SM 3&4 with 2-3 black people they went to shit. The only funny parts in 3&4 were with Anthony anderson, Kevin Hart, and Regina Hall. Same thing happened to In Living Color. Wayan's Brothers left and white people fucked it up.
another one. the waynes brothers should pick this movie series back up. i dont mind the PG-13. but 3 and 4 wernt really that funny. i know they were made by the guy who did the naked gun movies. those being so freakin funny. the R rating made the first two scary movies funny out the corn holio. so either way i will still wath this and even the UNRATED EXTENTED NEVER BEFORE SEEN DIRECTORS CUT NOT WITH SCENES NOT SHOWN IN THEATRES. yay!!!
Never before I have been watching any kind of scary movies, these movies are seems to be horrible and having many types of vulgarity therefore its not suitable for kids of under age.

They still never included Friday the 13th & Halloween. Maybe those might be in this one

They should really get Charlie Sheen to be in this.
They should spoof Grindhouse and let the Wayans take one movie and Zucker take the 2nd.
....ideas like this- the producers should be listening to. They're both hysterical but on completely different sides of the classic dick 'n' fart joke. ....you'd need a serious amount of weed for that kinda night
I would like Marlon Wayans to return as Shorty Meeks he was my favorite character in Scary Movie 1 and 2
. I also would like to see a parody of Paranormal Activty, put those two things in this and I'll be set. 
i'm sorry but scary movies 1 and 2 were better then 3 n 4 because Marlon and shawn was in them and Keenan directed them. 3 n 4 wasn't as funny as the 1st 2. 3 had lame jokes a spoofed movies that wasn't even scary and the same thing for 4 there was no laugh at loud moments the only scene that was messed up in 4 was the broke back mountain spoof that was it lol. they should get marlon and shawn back n also keenan to direct it

Scary movie is definitely one of the biggest movie that popped out many different horror movies of that time. This movie mostly based on thriller pattern that reflects the comedy part of same movie in comedy way. Yes, I also agree that Scary movie 1 and 2 was the best of all parts. This type of horror movies are more fun to watch on much bigger screens with a flat speakers surround sound system. Home theater is one of the best option.
Well it has a good writer and director. Let's hope they cast it good.

I like the Scary Movies too, but there is a time when they gotta stop, and I think they should've stopped at the 4th one
