PROJECT DETAILS
  • According to producer Jeff Katz this is a sequel that's intended to reboot the franchise and doesn't ignore any of the previous installments, saying: "..you resolve her character while setting up the events of the new movie, which are tied directly to her and in a way which allows you to honor the original but spin off in an entirely new direction." (8/18/16)
  • The producers want actress Felissa Rose to reprise her role as "Angela."
  • Originally, it was said that the producers intended to "reboot the Sleepaway Camp mythos in a modern setting with a new film series that echoes its legacy and the psychosexual elements that made the first pic such a memorable cult favorite"
  • Produced by Jeff Katz and original writer/director Robert Hiltzik, producer Michele Tatosiana and Felissa Rose, whom many may remember as Angela from the original.
  • When this project was first announced in 2013 it was said to be a remake of the 1983 movie, but the producers have recently revealed that it's actually a sequel/reboot. (8/18/16)
