BREAKING NEWS: New Masked 'Slasher' Film Coming Courtesy of Eli Roth
"At least we're told it has slasher style elements including a masked killer. Something new and original for fans of the genre to cling onto the studio is hoping. Creators of THE LAST EXORCISM Eli Roth, Eric Newman and Paris-based StudioCanal are teaming up again to create PSYCHO KILLER...
Follow up:
The screenplay is being written by SEVEN scribe Andrew Kevin Walker and the directorial duties will go to Gavin Polone, producer of ZOMBIELAND. What is this new project all about? Variety has a detailed descition below.
"Killer" turns on a nameless, masked murderer who leaves a trail of victims across the U.S. In a chance encounter on the plains of Nebraska, he kills a highway patrolman.
The only witness to the crime, the patrolman's young wife, a fellow officer, sets out to hunt the killer down, as the psycho killer plans his masterpiece: a mass murder which guarantees him a triumphant entry into hell.
According to Polone, the first 20% of the film accompanies the serial killer. The film then follows the paths of psycho and officer until they converge.
This is an interesting idea to say the least and has peeked our interest on the whole idea of a new "masked" slasher killer inserted into the mix. Myers, Freddy and Jason could use some company. The film is in very early stages of development as producers are still looking for the "perfect" cast to piece together for this picture."

! I can't wait!
This sounds awesome
I think with a few changes this could be good. For starts get rid of the comedy aspect, make the killer a cannibal, and get a good cast. That way it can be like on Thanksgiving this guy goes out and gets some people for his feast but one person he gets is married to a detective and he goes looking for her. I think this could work does anyone else agree?
Maybe the killer can kill people with a turkey leg lol
This is the ONLY movie that I was Roth to make. I liked the trailer in GRINDHOUSE, so as long as he can stay with that cheesey 80's horror and have plenty of nudity and blood we should be alright.
Rather see DON'T made.
Hope this turns out good
cough cough rip off cough cough halloween idea cough cough
roth should add sharks as well
Plus the fact that there have been so many films based on a holiday theme. Mostly within the horror genre. Why not complain about trick r treat because its based on the same holiday as Halloween. No but one fresh idea comes along and its a ripoff. U weren't coughing u must've been choking.
cough cough your a dumb shit cough cough get off a horror site for not knowing shit cough cough
Uhh Hello Moron Its supposed to be comedic towards the fact that there is a movie already named after a holiday...watch the trailer on grindhouse....
