PROJECT DETAILS:

Filmed in Toronto, Canada.

TriStar Pictures and Spyglass Media Group distribute theatrically in the US.

Patrick Dempsey (Greys Anatomy) is in talks to star in the film. (2/17/23)

It took 15 years, but it looks like this project is finally happening, as recent reports indicate that Eli Roth is aiming to begin filming sometime this March. (1/7/23)

In a recent interview Eli Roth revealed that he's now working with the duo behind another project of his, titled Clown, saying: "We finally cracked the story and figured out how to make it really, really scary, and a reason to do it. Before John starts shooting Clown he's got a window. We'll have a draft [of the script] soon." (8/24/12)

Eli Roth revealed that he had plans to work on the script with his partner Jeff Rendell once he finished promoting The Last Exorcism in mid-September 2010.

Co-writer Jeff Rendell played the Pilgrim killer in the faux trailer.

Eli Roth has been quoted saying that he wants to make the "sickest, bloodiest, most violent slasher movie" and attempt to "make the highest body count slasher film I can."

This project has been in talks since the faux trailer made its debut in 2007.

Based on the faux trailer co-written and directed by Eli Roth that was presented in the 2007 movie Grindhouse.
