When did Twilight EVER been considered horror movies?!?!?! Seriously when? This is useless news.
For all you people who say Twilight has ruined the vampire genre then think again. Take a look at priest and then you'll see just who ruined the vampires. They ruined the vampires 100 times worse than Twilight ever could. They ripped off the Licker from Resident evil and made it into a vampire. At least Twilight is original and not ripping other things off. That's all I am saying.
Priest is based on a comic book that came before Resident Evil. That's all I'm saying
Seriously dude, you're beating a dead horse. Most members on this site hate these movies. Get over it.
edward gives her one hell of a C-section in the book so we shall see how this is done.there isn't even a rating on it yet. if its pg-13 i don't see how they are gonna pull it off. its described very graphicly in the book
What's interesting about Twilight is that it makes MONEY. Tons and tons of MONEY. Unlike the Harry Potter stuff, this is an American production, and makes MONEY for America, at a time when AMERICA NEEDS MONEY BAD. I think Horror producers should check these movies out, if only to figure out what makes them connect with female audiences. I also think a satire of these multi-character teen vampire and werewolf movies would be pretty hilarious. I hated the Buffy the Vampire slayer tv show (except for Eliza Dushku) because it was serious, unlike the movie. Humor can make any crap watchable. Just call it "Girlylight" and make it like the Brady Bunch movie, but with horror elements and more insane. Women take romance VERY SERIOUSLY. That's why guys can't stand it. Put some Airplane (or Scary Movie) style Jokes in there though, and guys will watch it.
Thank god! the last time we will have to see this crap show. and the crap trailer on TV. Hope they all get hit by a truck, by far the worst movies in cinematic history. (mind you i am a big fan of Kristen Stewart)
Guess this movie appeals to kiddies.
In any event glad to see this is the end.
do they really need tow parts to this movie. i mean there not a lout in the forth book to really go on. but i guess they need to add more 20 kissing scenes right:Sp. really these movies should just die and this is coming from someone who read the books from the being before the twilight crass. also u will all be disappointed by the ending as I was. it is really really dumb and it makes everything that happen before pointless.
I LOVE Twilight and cannot wait to see it and part 2 and if ya don't like it, no one is gonna make ya watch it so why keep posting ya hate it
Your comment is LAME
I HATE TWILIGHT
I cannot wait to see it, Loved all the other movies and love the books I am glad Twilight is not like every other Vampire movie and its unique...
Hey I will give Twilight this this it did inspire me to make a movie here's the plot:
A girl drags her boyfriend to see Twilight the boyfriend after sitting though this train wreck for 20 minutes goes completely crazy and he beats his girlfriend to death with the popcorn box. Then goes to California and and kills all the actors in the movie. He takes that lead actress chick who looks like she either spaced out on prozac or brain dead and makes his own Ginsu knife advertisment using her internal organs. The he takes that dog dude and drowns him in his own hair gel. Then takes to doucebag sparkle vampire asshole and does A Clockwork Orange number on him by straping him to a chair prying his eyes open and making him watch his own shitty movies and lousy performances til his head blows up. The film's finale is he finds the bitch who put this SHIT in the books and puts her fucking head on a pike....
so does this plot have any potental ?
I hate Twilight >)
I hate Twilight more than I hate Sarah Palin
give me christopher lee and peter cushing anyday over this sparkle crap. vampires explode in sunlight bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how the hell is this a horror movie
It's absurd. Where have all the good vampire movies like "Interview With A Vampire" gone?
Its horror because the little tweens r squirming in their seats wondering if the big bad vampires will get little fragile bella.
The Twilight Series = emotional pornography
Why the hell is this movie on here?
An edit to my previous post: The last sentence I mentioned this movie I did not wish to imply that this movie sucked for i have not seen this one I meant the first twilight.
Call me crazy, but if I'm a vampire, the last place I want to go to is Rio de Janeiro in sunny ass South America. Ed's a tool. She should have gotten with the dog guy.
after all the bullshit i heard about the twilight movies i had to watch them. dammit they couldnt be THAT bad.
i watched the first 16 minutes of the first one then i had to stop it. it was PAINFUL.
i felt like it was raping my soul.
now i feel dirty in my deep self. i had to take a few baths to wash away those 16 minutes. sometimes i found myself crying at work because i watched 16 minutes fo that thing.
my life started to fall apart since then.
i became an alcoholic, trying to erase it from my memories.
i'd rather be lobotomized than watching it again.
i guess ill be soon writing a script about those moments.
Lol that is too hilarious.
Try having a sister and mother who are obsessed with that sparkly vampire douchebag. It's almost as painful as being forced to watch the films.
Lol
I've got a sister, her daughters , and one of my brothers that like that lame sparkly douche
I have nothing against the Twilight films. Other than them being tween bullshit, they're not bad movies. Bottom line is, regardless of werewolves and vampires being involved, the Twilight Saga IS NOT HORROR! Hell, The Dark Knight was a damn comic book, superhero movie and because of how the Joker was portrayed it was more "horror" than Twilight... This movie or any of the other ones SHOULD NOT BE ON THIS SITE...
I hate Twilight! It not horror. WTF? But Great "True Blood"!
Okay so although I dont care for the Twilight Saga...i still see why its on this site. Its whole story is about love and VAMPIRES. Any movie that deals with vamps ghosts demons, ect...is put on this site. Becuz these three things are the whole reason horror was invented. People have to think of why its on here. Underworld is more of an action flick ( say what u want). Its on this site cuz it deals with VAMPIRES n WEREWOLVES. Fido...once again, it deals with ZOMBIES, which is why its here, and that movie about. In the future, if a movie came out about a friendship between a ghost and a vampire and it was a comedy. Will Ferrel and Chris Rock were in it...i bet a million dollars that its gonna be here on this site. So think about it people. Why is it that Twilight is on here?
....'cause obviously, the moderators love watching us all bicker and debate.
Vampires are horror therefore twilight having VAMPIRES in it means HORROR Shaun of the dead wasn't horror it was just stupid and Scream isn't horror either it's just about getting revenge. Thats not scary horror that's suspense and a horrible waste of time. That said if scream, Shaun of the dead, Halloween, Stan Helsing etc etc are allowed on this site then Twilight is as well. Love it or hate it, it belongs here.
I really need to correct you on a few things. Shaun of the Dead is a HORROR comedy, as well as an amazing movie. Now I'm not just saying it's horror because of the zombies, I'm saying it is horror because in the last half of the movie the actual horror aspect really shines through and there is a sense of terror for the characters. Would I say it's scary? No, but it is macabre and that's what places it firmly in the horror genre.
Now on to Scream, which is a PARODY of the HORROR genre. And again, it is an amazing film. If you don't get what the movie is trying to accomplish then you may not find it as ingenious as those who do. There are some very forward scares in the movie; a movie about a serial killer who is stalking and killing teens should be a given to said scares. That to me, and pretty much everyone else ever, screams (no pun intended) horror.
Now for your precious Twilight. If you can tell me what is scary (aside from the atrocious acting) or macabre about it, then I will accept it as horror.
Of course I frankly could give two shits if Twilight is on this site, of which delves into fantasy as much as horror. I just love correcting ignorance.
For the love of god, STOP WHINING ABOUT THIS BEING ON THE SITE.... There are a lot of movies on here that are not horror. I mean Scream for example is a pos that is more comedy then horror. Also the new Freddy, Jason, and Halloween remakes are comedy, not horror yet they are here you know why? Cos they have KILLERS in them. What is a vampire. UM IDK isn't that something that goes in the monster category? UH DUH. Freaking morons. and FYI if you don't like this movie/series KUDOS to you. Get a life and move on. I hate scream cos it was a waste of time, yet here comes a new saga. LIFE GOES ON..... Now let it go stop your bitching. Get off your ass and do something with your life. NOW look what you morons did. Made me take 5 mins out of day to teach you something. Now I'm one of you. UGH Excuse me while I go off myself O_o...idiots
horrors are meant to scare/horrify audience. wich scream, halloween (as long as i dont like them) manage to do to some people.
jeez even shaun of the dead is pretty horrifying with all the disembodiments.
whats so scary/horrifing in twilight movies i dont know.
thats why i say they are not horrors. thus, do not belong here.
Crap
I posted a while back that I was going to try and read the 4th book. It took me the whole summer to get through 200 pages (the book is like almost 800 pages and yes, it's that boring). I had to stop reading it because I couldn't stop laughing. Basically in the first 200 chapters all Bella can think about is having sex with Edward and when they finally do he cries like a whiny little bitch because he bruised her up a bit and tore the bedding apart. -_-. Laughable? Very much so. Also, why so long of a wait between the films? That's almost a whole year apart, seems pretty odd to me. I don't know if I will be able to go see this, I might get kicked out for sitting there and laughing the whole time while the Twi-hards cry because it's the end of their beloved series (not saying it's a bad thing, I'll be crying my eyes out at the Harry Potter films).
This not Horror!
It isn't??
This movie shouldn't be on this site, its not in the horror genre its drama/stupid but whatever if people like it go nuts just seriously this movie is gonna suck ass just as much as the other ones but whatever thats my opinion. Just i wish it wasn't on this site it disgraces real vampires that aren't gay and look like fairies that don't know how to brush their hair. Oh well have fun twihards crying over the idea non of this is real lol!
Well first off you are all morons seeings how you are'nt the creator of the website and if he wants to add the fucking carebears to the site guess what he will! So then afterwards stupid little pricks like you all can bitch and whine (as if they even give a shit), then go back and sit your fat ass back on the computer chair and sit there and rot a little more. I can't stand to see people like you all bitching and whining. I mean they ask for you to write a comment not your pathetic life story. Sad part is that I even had to write this. Which is because the simple fact is that people like you make me fucking sick. Whine a little more know one cares IDIOTS! Just thought I would let you know. Have a wonderful night!
Well first off you try to call us morons/idiots while you put "are'nt" in your comment, its "aren't" get it right. Second you put "Whine a little more know one cares IDIOTS!" don't you mean "Whine a little more no one cares IDIOS!". Lastly you complain about us whining and bitching when you are clearly doing both. You sir are a dickhead and I hate people like you. Just thought I would let you know. Have a wonderful night!
LOL awesome.
"Dark Days makes Twilight look nursery school"
Any vampire movie can do that
How is this a horror series again????
From what little I was able to read in the 1st book, and what friends tell me of the movies, there is absolutely NO horror aspects to these movies! (Well, other than the movies and books being horrible material.) No gory violent death scenes, no scary vampires or werewolves. NOTHING! Just tweens obsessed with looking good and spooky puppies!
These are nothing more than teen movies! NOT HORROR MOVIES! WHY IS IT HERE!! IT IS CORRUPTING THE TIME SPACE CONTINUUM OF THE HORROR UNIVERSE! *SMACK* Sorry. Had to let that out.
But seriously, this is not anything close to horror genre.
To pigeonhole the horror genre as nothing more than the presumed summation of "gory violent death scenes" is not only myopic and trite but doing the genre a great disservice. Classics like “The Wicker Man,” “Poltergeist,” “The Changeling” and even “The Exorcist” do not have any particularly violent or gory scenes in them… nor do they need them to be effective. Yet, they are horror films and no one claims otherwise. Personally I find the Anti-Twilight crowd to be on-par with the Anti-Scream crowd… a gaggle of thoughtless bandwagon jumpers without an original thought among them. The Twilight films are about vampires and werewolves that actually dare to go against the pop-culture grain and have genuine storylines, fully developed characters and a completely realized love story. If that’s not your cup of tea and all you’re interested in is “Slumber Party Massacre” clones, so be it… but don’t disgrace the genre by trying to put it in a box of your own making. Now, I know that there are no locker-room sex scenes or gratuitous and unnecessary nude shots that so many genre fanboys seem to need… but, that goes against the vampire film clichés. And I realize that genuine on-screen emotion makes some people uncomfortable and that characters that express themselves and use more than one-syllable words freaks so many of you out… but again… it’s what makes Twilight stand heads and shoulders above such idiotic failures as Daybreakers and any number of the direct-to-dvd schlock-fests that so many of you rave on and on about. Twilight is a genre piece that bravely defies convention… and thank the Gods for that! If I had to be subjected to one more of those stupid Blade, Saw or Paranormal Activity films (and their subsequent knock-offs) that my friends make me watch I was going to abandon the genre entirely. I’d gladly take a thousand Julia Roberts films over most of the current crop of dime-a-dozen torture porn films these days. Twilight reminds me why I love the horror genre to begin with… some conventions and creatures will forever be favorites… but loving the saga also tells me that I’m more mature, have a heart and an open mind. It’s sad that I am such a rarity among horror fans. If there were more of me out there we’d have better films to see. Still, there is always a place for the myopic, the stupid and the pedestrian… they’re why train wrecks like “Hostel,” “Cabin Fever” and “Snakes on a Plane” get made.
....ah... a breath of fresh air. Pardon me, whilst I take a deep inhale of the pompous display before mine eyes!
Mmm... good stuff. Now, with that aside, congrats on the excessive use of above par linguistics and SAT words to attempt driving your point home in a less than simplistic fashion. Hi, this'll be our first game of point- counter point. It's Dancey-Dance time! First and foremost, my old lady is a... big, big Twilight fan. Sadly, because she is- I suffer from over-exposure to the nonsense. There is no "Band-Wagon" here, friend. This series, is NOT Horror. Allow me to explain the WHY, HOW and of course, as I find myself often doing OBVIOUS facts. First- let us define Horror. Merriam-Webster defines Horror as such;
1
a : painful and intense fear, dread, or dismay b : intense aversion or repugnance
2
a : the quality of inspiring horror : repulsive, horrible, or dismal quality or character b : something that inspires horror
3
plural : a state of extreme depression or apprehension
Twilight... offers none of this. Twilight and it's saga can offer many... (ugh) things. Drama, romance, mild humor, cultural stereotypes, teen-angst, shirtless native-american models, monotone girls with large ears and dead-end type-cast movie careers and pretty-boys who have already committed career suicide. There is even ACTION. (Action/ Romance... okay getting there...) Wait... where though is the Horror? Hellboy had demons, fish-men, ancient Armys... but it's not Horror? Wait though... Teen-Wolf... had a werewolf? Why isn't it a Horror-Comedy? Hold on... I got it... Leslie Nielsen (RIP Legend) made Dracula: Dead n Loving it... and Re-Possessed... why aren't they Horror? By your arguments, shouldn't anything non-human be Horror?
But... hey, wait.... where's the fear? The only thing any reader is afraid of is... well, a lack of "...and they lived Happily Ever After". Please, I'm begging you, rather than attack the people who don't consider Twilight anything but a sad cash-in based on a lonely fan-girl's obsession with pretty vampires who remind her of her 80's new-wave clubbing days... Tell us, just WHAT makes it Horror. Vampire. Werewolf. Shape Shifter. Angsty emotionless teen. Cop.... outs?
...'till you can drop some real back-up on this, you're just... Butt-Hurt.
Ahh, where do I begin?? Being a profuse and dedicated fan of Anne Rice, I am an avid follower of her vampire chronicles, and Twilight makes a mockery of all that is true and sane. Vampires are dead things, so how in the HELL can they procreate??? what is this Twilight nonsense having babies and making love and endless conversations that bore me to tears??? Yes, I was finally persuaded to view these movies by a family member, and cringed at the thought of vampires, no matter how thoughtful, and loving, not feeding off of human blood??? Please, there are too many complaints for me to list here, including that this movie is definetly NOT Horror!! Please, take the time to read "The Vampire Lestat" or "The Queen Of the Damned", (and not that bullshit movie, PLEASSEE!!!) and get a complete understanding of the true meaning of vampyre..ie..vampire!! I am a True Horror Fan, having watched hundreds of movies since the seventies, and can recall some that others have never even heard of, I beg to differ with this being even considered for this site. It is time for movie makers to start back scaring the hell out of me, and countless others of fans who I'm sure wonder what happened to all these new movies???? Weak plots, and dumb endings...anyway, just sayin
Thank you!
