- The studio is apparently fast-tracking this project. (5/23/11)
- Todd Lincoln (The Apparition) is in negotiations to direct.
- Apparently there will be some modifications to the original story that will introduce some "surprise changes," which Joe Hill apparently gave his blessing for.
- Story creator Joe Hill is the son of legendary writer Stephen King.
- The short story was a segment in a zombie anthology entitled The New Dead.
- Based on the short story with the same name by author Joe Hill.

I've read the short story and as a writer I find it creative. However it's actually a pretty funny story and is gory would make a funny zombie flick if done right haha.
