HEADLINES
Neil Marshall's Dog Soldiers and The Descent were instant classics but the moment he leaves the horror world he becomes an average director at best (i.e. Doomsday, Centurion) Please Neil come back to the dark side, Mr. Craven and Mr. Carpenter have lost their way and it's your duty to save American horror from it's self.
BTW- The use of CGI blood in Centurion really pisses me off! Blood is easy to make and cheap, corn syrup + food coloring= fun.
CGI heavy movies are soulless, the acting almost always falls flat, I just can't suspend disbelief enough. It's supposed to look superior to handmade effects, IT DOES NOT! I'd rather see a bad F/X creation than a bad CGI and there are lots of those. Men like Rick Baker are a dying breed, men of talent and vision just see his Wolf transformation in American Werewolf as apposed to the CGI wolf in part 2. It's enough to make you ralph! I hate you too Mr. Bay!
I hope the "ambitious young chef" is like Hannibal Lector and not like The Hills Have Eyes or Wrong Turn cannibals.
Cannibal movies are always gorey so thats good and this definitely has an interesting idea. Ive also heard Neil Marshall is a good director so this movie should be great
Cannibalism + Neil Marshall =
