All Souls Day


Revolves around the Mexican Day of the Dead, when the dead return to walk the Earth to see their loved ones once more. When a couple of young college kids unintentionally interfere with a small town’s ritual sacrifice, they get into more than they bargained for and must find a way to survive this Dia de los Muertos.

Writer Mark Altman spoke with Dread Central about a couple projects he's working on, where he went over this film. Here's some of what he said: "It's very moody and, hopefully, smart with some great gore and action. The basic premise is that some Americans find themselves stranded in this cursed town in Mexico on the Day of the Dead in which...as you would suspect...the dead rise to visit their loved ones once more and it isn't to bring them flowers."

He continued... "It's a story set on the Day of the Dead in Mexico, a holiday ripe for exploration in a horror movie. It really lends itself to a visually cool horror movie and I think fans are going to be really happy. This isn't a supernatural thriller, it's a horror film, but it also has elements of a western and a Douglas Sirk film as well." Read more here.
