Director Uwe Boll spoke with
Fango recently about the film, saying... "It
was great to shoot ALONE IN THE DARK. Big monsters, big battles, great
actors. The first print will be available September 1, and I can’t
wait.” He then went on to talk about the
effects we can expect: "The film will of course include
huge CGI monsters and worms, and also normal action with body snatchers.
I must admit that animatronics are effective and in many ways still
better than the CGI monsters—but it’s a pain in the ass
working with the puppeteers." You can read more here.

Christian Slater finished filming for the movie and spoke briefly about
it to SciFi Wire saying... "It's loosely based
on the game. I played it a little bit, but I like to say that it scared
me too much, so I had to stop. The movie is in a similar type of vein
to that."
He then added... "I
play Edward Carnby, a paranormal investigator" he said. "So
it's like a cross between The X-Files and Blade Runner. ... I just had
a great time with the character. Really loved it. It was a lot of fun."
