- Although based on the movies and games, it's said that this will be an original story.
- Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan and game maker Capcom will jointly produce this project.
- The RE games are known as "Biohazard" in its native country of Japan.

well i guess they found a way to add leon
there was going to be another film the sequal from were the 3rd left off but for the 4th film they wanted to add leon but they couldnt because in the 2nd movie they said that Jills partner Leon died so i guess they did a good job to change every thing because the Resident evil movies were getting boaring like the 3rd one SUCKED!!!!\
this one looks good thoe they better make leon look good

Hi there you all and those I've not seen before here. I read all your new comments and loved every second of it.
Very true, Alice sucks and never should have been in the movie to begin with, her name was I think mentioned in the original game and that was it if I can remember?
I'm convinced to make a new series of movies and now see the fans of the RE series will never die!
I will wright a new saga to the series and someday make the film right unlike those idiots who did the live action movies! The CG movie still looks good and better then the Crap that came out these past few years!
There better off not to make the fourth! I wanna see a film that has all the beginning characters and the saga of the creation of the virus and then have all the main REAL hero's come into the picture and do there thing as like the games!
I'm Steve and my next thing is to say, HollyWood needs to leave video games movies alone and stop making them!
The only thing that was near perfect was Silent Hill and cannot wait for the second! Issac and Clair, I'm going to continue my saga of the story and DO IT RIGHT! For those of you OUT THERE WHO WANT IT RIGHT, send me an email and let me hear your ideas for the movie that is Resident Evil!

Yoooooooooo Tyler you big dickhead. This is not a sequel to the live action movie of Resident Evil. Its just a new CGI movie thats based on the game. Start learning how to read OK. And I cant wait for this to come out.

I am glad they are making this; it will make up for the disappointment that was the live-action RE series. Too bad they didn't keep George Romero on as the director for the First one. I saw the original screen shots for the original version back in '99. He was going to make it like the game, but something happened, and they got a new director and script and they butchered what we know as Resident Evil. The movies weren't Resident Evil; they should have been called A Hollywood Zombie Movie, because that was what it was. Hollywood butchers almost everything it touches. They only one that was for the most part safe was Silent Hill.......

i almost entirely agree with what brian said. Could u imagine how badass the first movie would have been if they stuck to the video game, either way i think the resident evil movies sucked.. there worth a watch but nothing special. Either way from that trailer this looks rather promising ( not that i am in to animated movies) but atleast its got the some of the original characters.

Brian hit the nail right onthe head. Sure, these movies are entertaining. But they aren't RE. I never understood the need for the Alice character. What was wrong with the existing characters? This is just another case of using something well known with a big fanbase to market an idea, then going off and making your own movie.

Although the first film is an enjoyable and entertaining watch, I am personally of the belief that the entire concept of these movies was incorrect from the get go. Too much action. Did anyone play the first RE game? Great setup; STARS officers stuck in a huge mansion with tons of zombies, and it was fucking scary to those of us old enough to have played/understood it when it came out.
And like Limp Bizkit, things never went up after the beginning- it was all a sharp ride downhill. WHAT THE FUCK was with the main character having superpowers and kung-fooing every zombie she came across? It's survival-horror, not a superhero movie.
Granted, I understand that the filmmakers were trying to take the movies in a different direction from the games- I just think (most of) the games had much stronger and less typical concepts. No disrespect.

wtf! spualding if you hated the idea of the films why did you watch the first let alone 2 or 3? if you havent watched them how the flubber can you comment on them! i agree that extinction was like an abortion in a popcorn bucket and totaly destroyed the franchise, but the first two deserve effort ratings for trying to take the franchise somewhere else. i mean wtf would you want to watch an exact replica? would you have played res 2, nemesis, cv etc if they had been the same as the first game with just a different title? no you wouldnt. im not sayin i wouldnt like to see georgies take on it - but even he f*cks up, i mean hello seen land of the dead lately?
role on degeneration and RE5 (there will be trickle down my leg the day they get released!)
