According to an interview with actor Bruce Campbell on Fango Radio, he won't return for this prequel/sequel since he and writer/director Don Coscarelli couldn't agree on the script, so the two parted ways. However, Don Coscarelli is considering finding another genre fav. to fill Bruce's shoes.

Writer/director Don Coscarelli spoke with iF Magazine recently, where he revealed that a script is done and he's ready to go, with hopes of getting the project finished by the end of year.
