Fango reports that The Roost director Ti West will take the helm, replacing Eli Roth, whom has too much on his plate to be able to follow up his first film. According to their source, Ti will bring something new to the plate and won't be just a repeat of the original.

Original writer/director Eli Roth spoke with Moviehole recently about various projects, one of which was Cabin Fever 2. Here's what he had to say: "We are getting in the draft next week from Randy Pearlstein, who I co-wrote the first one with. He's got such a good idea for the sequel, and I can't wait to read it. Lion's Gate is rearin' to go, so hopefully once the draft comes in we'll start preproduction. I know I was the face of Cabin Fever, but Randy really helped "flesh out" the characters before I killed them off in horrible ways".

Just how long does it take to make these movies! Seriously, the first one was good...but to maintain the level of cheese this series carries they REALLY need to rush this into production. I mean, they should take their time to make a good movie, but they've had this on the slate since early 2007 and now it's supposed to come out in late 2009!
I can't wait to see this movie, but i think that they're overthinking it just a little!

frightie 2007 passed already. and this movie aint gunna come out in 2008.
Werewolf Hunter Its Suppose to come out around Spring 2009.
