Removed from the "never happened" section, as the project has finally begun moving forward once again, with news that New Line has hired writer Laeta Kalogridis (Night Watch, Pathfinder) to do a complete overhaul on the script, with hopes to send it out to possible directors as soon as she's finished.

It looks like the old-ass report on David Nutter directing wasn't happening. It's confirmed now that Punisher director Jonathan Hensleigh will direct.

DETAILS

- Laeta Kalogridis (Night Watch, Pathfinder) will rewrite the script that was previously handled by Jonathan Hensleigh and David Goyer.
- Produced by Alison Rosenzweig, along with Media Talent Group's Geyer Kosinski. Tracie Graham exec produces.
- Added to the UHM database on August 14th 2003, and moved to the "never happened" section on December 3rd 2006. Returned to the regular database on October 8th, 2007.
- New Line acquired the spec script by Tom S. Parker and Jim Jennewein in 2001 and the project has since been passed around since.
- David Goyer (Blade: Trinity) , David Nutter (Disturbing Behavior), and Jonathan Hensleigh (The Punisher) were all once attached to direct.

Oh cripes. Kalogridis is a terrible choice. See Pathfinder or better yet the wretched Birds Of Prey series.
