Despite word that a sequel was already in the works, George Romero himself has said differently. According to a brief interview with IGN, he was quoted saying "I'm not sure where that came from" and revealed that he didn't even have an idea for the sequel yet, but if the right idea and money can "meet somewhere in the middle" that a sequel would be possible.

umm Dawn was acted perfectly, anyone who thinks differently should just stop watching films. Diary on the other hand wasnt acted perfectly, but the script was there and the George delivered on the experience.

Well it's a good thing we have kids here talking cause maybe George will make it then. Diary of the Dead sucked for a George Romero zombie movie. It was average for the crap they put out now. See you people aren't used to good zombie movies from the 70's and 80's. You base it on what comes out now with the "fast" zombies. The acting for this movie was so wooden, you could have built a decent cabin out of it. And then there's the story. George. You made Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the dead (we'll excuse you for Land of the Dead), why can't you make a movie like that again. For once have a character emphasis again. I honestly can't tell you once character in Diary of the Dead. Explain your characters to us. Make us care for them. Otherwise we really don't care how it ends. I sure as hell didn't care who survived. Why would I?

nowhere better than DAWN buddy, sorry to say. don't get me wrong, I loved DIARY despite the so-so acting, but it's still weaker than DAWN and NIGHT. given it's central message pretaining to media and such, I like it a little better than DAY and LAND.
It's ok though, we all have our opinions.

I love Romero but Diary was just horrid. Ill take Night-Dawn and Day any day over any recent zombie films. Even Land was good as an action movie

This movie was pure torture to watch. I think the message in this movie is that you have to be brain dead to like any of his recent stuff. It is all terrible
