- Although the game delves into some horror aspects, judging from the director and vague plot for the film, we're more in store for an action film rather than horror one.
- Described as Mission Impossible meets Silent Hill.
- Director Stanley Tong worked on the popular big-budgeted Chinese film The Myth with Jackie Chan.
- Mindfire Entertainment's Mark A. Altman (House of the Dead 2) will produce with Mark Gottwald and Chuck Speed.
- The film will be set 10-years into the future as opposed to the alternate world in the game.
- Based on a screenplay by Steve Kriozere.
- Uwe Boll has left the project.
- The project was originally optioned by Uwe Boll in 2004 with hopes to direct with an estimated budgeted of $15-million to $25-million.
- Based on the Eidos Playstation survival horror game.

I've payed the first 2 games of this series, even though there was supposed to have a 3rd game come out, but it got cancelled. I do hope that the movie will be just as good as the game if not better!!
