Fango reports that the film currently went under 5-days of additional photography in prepartion for the very limited theatrical release in September. Apparently when they filmed over a year ago it was rushed, so they've gone back to amp up the violence and gore. Expect to catch this film on DVD in October since the theatarical release is only going to a 100 markets with two theaters per market. A few new behind-the-scenes pics can be found at Fango.

Feast is now up at myspace, where you can view a handful of behind-the-scene pics, and get a glimpse of some new promo art (shown above). Also, a September release is set, although there's no word as to what kind of release it is. And the trailer is available once again, just click the link on your left to view it. Although the trailer is a bit blurry, from what I can tell the movie looks awesome.

According to an interview with producer Wes Craven over at Suicidegirls.com, the film has been pulled from release, and it's now uncertain when it'll ever see the light of day.

Fango spoke with producer Michael Leahy, saying: "It’s a throwback to the days of EVIL DEAD. It’s a lot of fun, it’s super-gory and it takes itself seriously enough that you’re gonna respect it, but hopefully it’s gonna make you laugh out loud too. It was tough for John with the video cameras following his every moment, but I know some people have really become huge fans of his, because they kind of rode that wave with him as he came into his own. He’s got a lot of followers out there."

He also added a bit on the status of the film: "The picture’s been in a bit of a drydock. The whole divorce [between the Weinsteins and studio backers at Disney] kind of sidetracked us. I was looking at a calendar and noticed we made that film in 2004, and I was like, ‘Where did 2005 go?’ But I believe the movie that we took out to the film festivals will be very close to the finished film."

According to IGN the film has been pushed forward to a Christmas release.

5/26/05
The film has a late January '06 release.

5/07/05
Moviehole spoke with one of the producer's for the film about the status of the project, where he revealed the following: "[It’s] finished except for an opening. The test audience loved the movie but wanted to know where our monsters came from. We never even thought to suggest an origin. Now we're busy trying to figure out where they come from before shooting a new opening…There was a lot of concern during the production but it turns out that "Feast" was one of only a handful of movies Bob and Harvey decided to take with them."

10/27/04
Shooting for the film has begun in LA. I've also added a cast and release date.
