- Originally scheduled to have a January 18th '08, then an October 26, 2007 theatrical release.
- Filming began in September '06 in NY.
- A stage was built to match the original house exactly, using the actual blueprints from the home in the first film.
- This is a pointless shot-for-shot remake of the original.
- Produced by Tartan Films, Halcyon Pictures and the French Celluloid Dreams company.
- Budgeted at an estimated $5-million.
- Director Michael Haneke is remaking his own film.
- This is a remake of Funny Games, which came out in 1997.

Great Movie. It's something that you need to see in theaters, though. DVD wouldn't have the same affect I believe

Great movie. I agree with fartbox. Some people in the theater were thrown a little, I believe. I know I'll get crucified, but I want a sequel, only if it's done right.

Funny Games is a great American take on Haneke's on 97 film. Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, and Michael Pritt help the film appeal to a broader audience. There's a pretty cool interactive site...http://wip.warnerbros.com/funnygames/
They also have a site with a phone game that you play where the killers from the movie will call your friends and say creepy stuff, its coolio http://funnygames.varitalk.com/

I really want to see this movie. I like Naomi Watts, And Michael Pitt. It looks funny, and creepy all at the same time.
