Now that the writer's strike is over, things are finally moving along for the project. Fango spoke with actor Ray Wise and writer/director Victor Salva recently, where they revealed details on the upcoming film. According to the article Ray Wise will reprise his role as "Jack Taggart Sr." from the previous film, and Jonathan Breck is set to return as the "Creeper."
Also, it seems that the rumors of the film taking place in the west and being set 20 years after the events of the previous movie are both true, as Victor Salva confirms that the script will have a prologue set in the "Old West" and then forward to 20 years after the events of the previous movie. Victor also added that we may see characters from the first two movies make some sort of appearance in this one.

Although nothing official has been released to confirm this, various sites are reporting that this project will indeed finally happen, with original creator Victor Salva behind as writer and director. There's no word on whether the rumored premise will be set in the past, offering more backstory on the Creeper, or if it'll be set 23 years after the events of the second film, making it his next time to feed. Either way, it was only a matter of time before it finally moves forward since Victor has expressed interest in continuing the story for years now.

I just hope that they don't reveal TOO MUCH about The Creeper cause if they do, I think he'll cease to be as scary! And we ALL need at least ONE scary killer since all the rest of them have already been brought out of the darkness and into the public light!
