Long Weekend


Attempting to resurrect their failing marriage, Peter and Marcia set out on a camping trip to a deserted stretch of the Australian coastline in the hope that a long weekend in the sunshine will help them patch their differences. They are a careless couple, littering the countryside with garbage, shooting guns and even driving away after killing a kangaroo with their truck. Their callous disregard for the environment soon becomes apparent when animals start to seek vengeance. Marcia and Peter have proved themselves to be destroyers of nature. Will the animals allow them to leave or will mother nature exact her own destruction?

So...what? Are they going to have killer bunnies or something chasing these two stupid people trying to kil them. NO! The bunnies will be rabid...NO! The bunnies will be rabid and have machine guns attached to their hands.
Sounds so sweet...if you like Thumper trying to knaw your leg off.

The original was pretty decent, although rather slow at times. It kept a very eerie atmosphere throughout. It showed you how nature could be ruthless without lions ripping out your throat or a spider poisoning you with a bit.
I hope they turn this new one up a notch from the original though, because it was good, but definitely not great.
