- Filmed in Melbourne, Australia.
- Despite being in a relationship with fellow band member, Cameron McGlinchey, star, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, has been observed flirting heavily with costar, Jesse Johnson. Particularly in between the filming of car scenes, where the pair may have been unaware that crew could overhear the pair's amorous conversations via their headsets.
- There may have been some friction between the producers and director George Miller, due to last minute script changes by Miller, and investor issues that have plagued the shoot. At one point, the line-producers were hinting they were ready to walk.
- In addition to a perforated eardrum, Natalia has rolled her ankle on set, not once, but twice, causing hassles regarding the physicality of her role.
- Star Natalie Bassingthwaighte has taken several days off during production due to an ear infection, which is no surprise, as during the first week of location shooting, the main cast were required to wear summer garb in chilly five degree weather.
- Budgeted at an estimated $3-million.
- Director George Miller also worked on The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter.
- Supposedly inspired by the disappearance of a North American couple in the late 80's while they traveled the West Australian desert during a 4WD holiday.
- This is an Australian film.

Oh come on it wasn't THAT bad!!
Fun b-grade horror flick reminiscent of old 70's movies. Hardly the worst Aussie film (you obviously haven't seen SICKLE)!

This movie is really really bad - no seriously iv'e seen it and its most likely the worst aussie film ever made....the best the cast can hope for, for their careers is that it fades away quickly. Estimated 3 million - wot the hell did the producers spend the money on ?

Can't wait to see this movie. The trailer was awsome to watch and the acting was so perfect and excellent.

Looks pretty interesting from the trailer. Premise is really generic but hopefully it has a strong story and character development. Cast and visuals look nice.

Looks crap! Very B grade with *** e acting and a stupid story. I wish Nat would just stick to singing and - like Kylie - stay away from the big screen!! Is it still filming? I wouldn't bother getting the video out.

Blood-red infinity. The amber sky meets the red-desert. You have been traveling in circles, your party inexplicably lost. Swallowed by the soft sand is your SUV. A forgotten relic. Dead. Buried along with the first to die.
Watching the sun, you know that as it sinks, time is running out. And that soon, the evil that awaits in growing shadows, will come. Death will not come quickly.
Out here, in the red desert, there are heavier tolls to pay, then just your life.

Whilst it's the same name as other 'PREY' films, this one is totally original and covers the disappearance and tragic supernatural death of three couples venturing into sacred territory out in the desert. Hot script, hot cast, and *** scary. Inspired by true events but a fictional tale that will hopefully kill tourism forever... :)
