While covering the night shift at a small-town fire department, an ambitious young television reporter and her cameraman follow the crew on a call to rescue an elderly woman unable to escape the inferno that is consuming her home. Upon their arrival at the scene, the calm midnight air is pierced by the sound of horrific screams, and the television report takes an unexpectedly dark turn.

about that movie EVERYTHING!!! I haven't seen this one though it
looks good but I've never seen the originals of Rec or Quarantine,
oh god isn't that sad that I've just now heard of that these films have
ORIGINALS to their REMAKES god I feel like a dumbass.
Geogia, I'll go ahead and point out only TWO major differences that say why this is better than the remake. Both deal with the camermen;
1) The cameraman's face in this one is NEVER seen, making the cameraman the character YOU could be. He only appeared from behind or his feet. Other than that, he was the faceless star of the show.
2) The cameraman never used his camera as a weapon... Quarantine was RUINED the moment the guy used the camera as a bludgeon and the camera had NO malfunction issues, not even a crack in the lens.
And to show Im a good sport, I'll give one difference in defense of Quarantine:
1)The lighting was better due to the better budget.
Trust me, ppl WILL argue this out, but nothing competes to the suspense and genuine terror of this one.
The original version is awesome and is so much better than the remake... Ohh poor aaron ...you're the one who's have a really bad taste in movies
