- Original producer Shawn Papazian directs.
- Actor Joey Mendocino will return as "Jesse".
- The character "Nicole" from the first film will make an appearance in ghost form, but with actress Julie Mond, replacing original actress Jamie Alexander.
- Original writer/director John Shiban will only be producing and writing the script.
- It's said they want to keep the mythology behind the man who kills at the rest stop.
- They hope to bring back some of the original people from the first film.
- The sequel to the first film that went straight to DVD under the Raw Feed banner.

The first one did leave me wanting a lot more info, supposedly this sequel will satisfy that and more from what I have read. Whoever this new actress is looks ten thousand times hotter and pretty bad ass...i'm really amped for it!

the reason people didn't like the first one was because it didn't make any sense....it was kinda frustrating really. cause there was a good movie in there somewhere...it looks as if this sequel will try to remedy the problems of the first film

The first movie was crazy. I didn't understand the weird family. It look like the family is explained in this movie so that should make the movie better. I will watch it.

best part of the 1st movie was when JOEY wanted that main to blow his brains out cuz he couldn't move AND she miss the first time....JOEY was like "YOU MISSED,YOU MISSED YOU STUPID B****!" LOL.....i laughed for hours and hours!

why does every1 think that the movie "rest stop" is so badd. i love'd it i think it was awesome. and the guy that plays jess is hottt! lol. yeah i think rest stop is a madd movie and i watched it over and over again. i love it!
